My expectations were aligned with the cost and we felt the value did not match the price. It was cozy, comfortable, quiet, great location, good appliances, GREAT bed, nice, knowledgeable host, decently clean, but we were more disappointed than pleased. Unfortunately, we wouldn't stay again due to safety reasons & price.Although the host was super responsive and nice, she did not resolve the problems and we felt like we were not as respected as we should have been as paying customers.The main issue is that we arrived to a very thick snow with a slanted, slippery walkway, stairs and deck that were not shoveled or salted, and my athletic husband almost fell several times and myself at least once! We had to shovel ourselves, then when we asked for salt to help with the icy surfaces, she asked me to ask the plow driver that was in the neighborhood. :( And though we reminded her a couple times and brought up the safety issues of having no salt, she ignored this concern. We also were asked to run the shower to drip for nearly 24 hours due to cold weather, which was very loud and very cold. The design of the shower is uncomfortable especially in winter, because the glass only goes halfway down and is open to the rest of the bathroom. Needless to say, water gets all over the LOOSE bathroom floor tiles, makes it slippery, and makes the entire shower experience cold and miserable. ##### Angela B. There's a small collection of a dozen or so of houses like this, with a central core and the rooms clustered around a central spiral staircase. You enter upstairs from a deck, and the house is round with tree-level windows in every room. Really unique! The house is nicely equipped and the bed was by far the most comfortable I can remember in any of the VRBOs I've stayed in. The only issue I had was that the windows are not designed to open - only the entry door and a sliding glass door in the dining room and a small one near the kitchen. It would have been nice to open the windows to the cool mountain breezes overnight instead of using the HVAC. Not a complaint at all, merely an observation. Communications with Tonya, the owner, were excellent, and her instructions and responses to questions were clear and prompt. It's practically across the road from the Omni, and so much more personable and homey than the corporate hotel. The hotel is lovely, and the spa and other recreational activities are great, but this house was much more my cup of tea. ##### Neal H. My husband and I had such a nice stay to celebrate our 16th wedding anniversary. This property is cozy and charming. It’s tucked away in a beautiful wooded area, and the timing of our stay was perfect with regard to peak fall colors. The property was beautiful inside and out. It’s clean, well maintained, and nicely stocked with the essentials. Communication with the property owner was EXCELLENT from the beginning. A few days prior to our stay, we received a message detailing everything that we might need to know from start to finish. We highly recommend!
