There were a few homes with strong political views in terms of flags. Other than that it was very pleasant. Joe was responsive when we had a little issue with the air conditioner. No hot water, plethora of gnats, no way to lock the door other than the keypad (which I’m sure is never changed), cobwebs, one curtain and it is nailed into the wall, a closet with no doors and the owners clothes are in it, the property owners live there, there vehicle was in the driveway, the neighborhood was sketchy. When I asked about the hot water heater, I was told by the homeowner about the water, I politely explained that we wouldn’t be able to stay due to the fore mentioned issues. That started a 5 day run of harassing and threatening phone calls and text messages to me. This place should NOT be allowed on any rental sites!!! There is no way the past reviews are legit! The price and location were great and the home is exactly as listed. In a quiet neighborhood that’s a short drive to Watkins Glen (15 min) and it’s literally in the middle of of everything! The house was very clean, neat and comfortable with nice furnishings, plenty of towels and kitchen supplies. The owners were very kind and helpful.
