Apr 20, 2025 Liked: Cleanliness, check-in, communication, location, listing accuracy #### Salt Marsh Creek Comforts We enjoyed a comfortable week overlooking the salt marsh on Lady’s Island between Beaufort and St. Helena Island, which was the perfect spot for day trips to Hunting Island State Park, Savannah, and local parks for walks and birding (we identified over 50 species of birds during the week!), as well as learning about the rich culture and history of the area. The house was spacious and comfortable for our multigenerational group, the kitchen well-equipped for preparing meals, games were available inside and out, there are plenty of couches and comfy chairs for relaxing, and the beds and linens were great. Our hosts were very responsive and offered suggestions for paddling in the area. The men on our trip enjoyed fishing off the dock well into the night as the area was so well lit. There was a paddle board and canoe. We enjoyed morning coffee on the deck which wrapped around the home to an area with 2 lovely rockers. Pool and hammock was a plus. Plenty of space. Location was ideal for a quick ride to Beaufort or Port Royal. State park with nature center, light house and a fishing pier. Dockside restaurant is a must! The TV had no instructions and the one toilet needs a new device to flush properly. No paper products were on the property to accommodate a 6 day upon arrival.
