Bayview proper is only a half-mile walk from your boat house for a quiet night out. Bayview is also the perfect Idaho destination for the outdoorsy types: water sports are an obvious choice, with over 200 miles of shoreline to kayak, wade, and lots of docks to send off your boat. Enjoy good fishing, a good swim, or just a good float! Bayview is also within the boundaries of Farragut State Park, with ample wildlife-viewing, hiking, and biking trails. No where in the pictures of the outside does it show boats tied up along side of the house boat. We had a great stay at the float house! While the interior is a bit dated, it didn’t affect our experience. The upstairs back covered deck was a favorite spot for us to relax. We enjoyed walking to The Dock for dinner, which had delicious food and live outdoor music. For breakfast, we walked to Ralph's coffee shop, which was also a pleasant experience. We boated to Bayview and had to arrange moorage on our own, which cost an extra $75 per night. It would be more convenient if the spot in front of the house could be reserved at time of booking and the fee included in the rental price. The walk from the float house to the marina office was quite long. The kitchen was well stocked, and the bathrooms provided nice towels and toiletries. However, we felt the 10 a.m. checkout time was a bit early, especially since we were leaving by boat. A checkout time of 11 a.m. would have been more reasonable. While we received an email offering a paid late checkout option, we had already spent $150 on boat parking, so we opted not to. ##### Jacinda B. Seeing all of the other boat houses was a fun experience. Bring your kayak or SUP! Easy walk to the Mercantile, which has a little bit of everything and friendly service. The king bed upstairs was so comfortable that I hated to leave. We really enjoyed the upstairs patio area for relaxing and fishing. Silverwood is 20 mins away. Upper bedroom had no windows, thus no ventilation. Even with portable AC was VERY hot and stuffy. Stairway leading to upper level had non working light fixture so quite dark in evening going up and down. Could definitely use some updating in and out. Dark paneling on lower level and on dark side even with blinds open. We DID enjoy upper outside porch area. Spent most of time there when "home" in evenings. ##### Linda O. Just know you will have to pay for a boat slip because one is not provided. There is also no where to swim from the property. It is in the middle, other boat houses beside and behind, deck is not private. Inside is set up weird, like it’s been added onto. You have to go through a screen door up to the deck and then there is a loft with a king bed. I’ve never stayed in a boat house so not sure if that’s how they all are. We couldn’t get the tv upstairs to work and it’s in a sitting room, no tv in the loft room. ##### Carissa B. The unit has old square TV'S which cut out some of the picture. Not a big deal unless you watch sports and can only see one teams score. The place is clean enough though. I have had a couple rentals myself and I gave all the modern conveniences plus some. That gives you repeat renters. This is a one time rental. Nothing special. ##### Thomas L.
