This charming & clean upstairs apartment is nestled up in the woods on a quiet dead-end road just short a 5-minute drive to downtown Bayfield. Head down the hill into Bayfield for dining, shopping, beaches, and hiking. If golfing is your thing, just a 3-minute drive up the hill and you’ll find the gorgeous Apostle Highland Golf Course. Your host runs Bark Point Ventures, a vacation rental management & concierge company that specializes in properties all along Lake Superior's South Shore. We live nearby and are available whenever needed to assist our guests. Our passion is ensuring guests experience the magic of what we feel is one of the most amazing places in the world. Neighborhood Woodland Lodging complex is located on a peaceful wooded lot, just a 5 minute drive to Bayfield's commercial district with a wide range of shops, restaurants, galleries, beaches and the ferry landing. The home sits on a quiet dead-end road and offers a peaceful escape with the convenience of being close to town. This charming property is nestled up in the woods on a quiet dead-end road just short a 5-minute drive to downtown Bayfield. Head down the hill into Bayfield for dining, shopping, beaches, and hiking . If golfing is your thing, just a 3-minute drive up the hill and you’ll find the gorgeous Apostle Highland Golf Course. This upper unit of the property features an open plan living/dining/kitchen area with a comfy couch, 2 chairs, a dining table with seating for four, a fully-outfitted kitchen, and high-speed wifi that makes streaming your favorite content on the smart tv (Roku) or your preferred device a breeze. The primary bedroom has a queen bed and the living room has a newer full-sized futon. The full bath has a combo tub/shower. The apartment is set up perfectly for 2 but can comfortably accommodate 2 additional small children or single adult on the futon in the living room. In the summer months there is an herb garden right off the front deck that guests are welcome to pick from. Transit Due to the lack of public transportation and the distance between towns/amenities, a car is pretty much essential. But, on the plus side, traffic is not a concept we have up here! It was clean and nicely decorated. We enjoyed having our morning coffee on the porch, listening to the birds in the trees. This property is surrounded by woods, on the outskirts of Bayfield. If you're looking for a quiet, secluded getaway, this is a good choice. One suggestion for any light sleepers- bring a sleep mask. There is a heating unit that has a flashing light in the bedroom that I found distracting. The manager made an effort to cover the light per our request, which we appreciated. We appreciated being able to “eat in” for breakfast and dinner and having the small kitchen was a wonderful convenience. The studio apartment was spacious and clean, and we loved the artwork and cross stitching depicting local sites and nautical maps.
