This unit offers everything you could want in a temporary home during your visit to Bayfield. The unit features a newly renovated kitchen & bathroom, comfortable queen-size Murphy bed, and comfy oversized living room furniture, from which to enjoy the incredible lake views. You'll also be able to enjoy a private balcony overlooking the lake & beach below. Host Info Your host runs Bark Point Ventures, a vacation rental management & concierge company that specializes in properties all along Lake Superior's South Shore. We live nearby and are available whenever needed to assist our guests. Our passion is ensuring guests experience the magic of what we feel is one of the most amazing places in the world. Neighborhood Info Located on the beach right in downtown Bayfield. You can walk to a wide range of locally-owned shops, restaurants, galleries, and museums. And yet the condo is set far enough away from the main drag to not feel like you're too in the middle of everything. Location & Transit Info Bayfield is a very walkable city, so your best bet is on foot. We are just a couple blocks from all the shops and restaurants in downtown Bayfield. Off street parking in lot for one car. Plenty of street parking available, except during Applefest weekend in October. Less than 15 minute drive to Mt. Ashwabay ski hill, Big Top Chautauqua, hiking trails, beaches, and more. Public transportation on the peninsula is provided by the Bay Area Rural Transit (BART), more information can be found on their website. An EV charging station is located in the parking lot on the corner of Washington Ave. and E. 6th St. in Washburn. The following shuttles and ferries are also accessible on foot from Reiten Boatyard: \- The Madeline Island Ferry will take you out to Madeline Island and runs regularly during the late spring, summer, fall, and much of the winter. \- The BART Bus runs regularly from through Bayfield and around Chequamegon Bay for a modest fee. \- Big Top Chautauqua runs shuttles for most of for their concerts and events. Details of the Space This second (top) floor studio unit features an open plan kitchen-dining-living space that opens up to your own private balcony overlooking the lake (perfect for morning coffee or evening cocktails). The living area has a comfy couch and oversized lounging chair - both situated to enjoy views of the lake during the day and tv or a movie at night. The kitchen is recently renovated with glass-top stove, full-sized fridge, microwave, convection toaster oven, and a dishwasher. The beautiful granite kitchen island also serves as a spot for dining, with seating for up to four. The bathroom was also recently updated, with a spacious walk-in shower. This unit feels bright & airy, thanks to the modern fixtures and thoughtfully laid out furnishings. Please note that the fireplace is ornamental only and not available for guest use. The condo is located an easy walk to Bayfield's myriad charming shops & restaurants as well as the ferry to Madeline Island. It's also a perfect jumping off point to all of the incredible things to see & do throughout the greater Chequamegon Bay area. One of our favorite features is the wonderful community garden that is adjacent to the condo building. There's few better places in the warmer months to enjoy a book or just take in the gorgeous flowers & plants in this "secret garden" setting. The unit also features a rarity in the area: air conditioning, as well as high-speed wifi and cable tv. Non working fireplace- ornamental only. There are 2 picnic tables and 2 weber grills available for use by guests and residents of all units. Bike racks are also available by the parking lot. I'd give the condo 4.5 stars if I could but didn't want to be the one to ruin the perfect rating with 4 stars. :-) Unit does need some general upkeep (unlevel dishwasher & cabinet door falling off above fridge drove hubs a little crazy 😆), toilet needs a new handle, and the building is showing its age, but overall we had what we needed. I wish guests would be more conscientious about cleaning the dishes they dirty (I found some Barkeepers Friend and shined a couple pans right up!), but that isn't the fault of the host. Condo could benefit from a couple of beach chairs since it's right on the beach. Easy walk to downtown and really appreciated all the activity remmendations. Would recommend this place to others and would stay again. ##### Marcie G. Best part was that it is within walking distance of the cute shopping center including a grocery store , restaurants.m, gardens, and extensive hiking trails. We even got to see a live free concert in the main park. We came there for the purpose of kayaking and went to “sand island” to kayak thru great sea caves. Awesome time ! ##### Jenifer D.
