« Looking for a cozy getaway in the woods , The Country did not disappoint. It was a stormy weekend which turned the already beautiful scenic area into a winter wonderland. « We stayed at the adjacent property ( the Pepper) while my mother and my son took up accommodation in the Salt cottage. We will be forever grateful to have been able to rent bith properties to have a group family vacation that will be remembered for years to come. The view from the back deck will have you relaxed and wanting to return again and again to relish the sunrise with a cup of coffee and fresh local bread and jam. Ches was wonderful to deal with from the queries about the booking process...

« Our family of 5 (youngest child 19 years) spent 5 days of Christmas here. We put up a tree, hung stockings, snuggled in jammies, played cards, did a puzzle, built Lego, watched movies, read books, walked the trail to the root cellar (3 times), cooked a turkey feast, and just relaxed. We may never spend Christmas home again. »

« To begin with, the residence is one of the best we've ever stayed in. The home is warm, charming and eclectic while being up to date with every convenience. We felt so welcomed by the towns people that we were able to join right in with the local activities - very fun, indeed. If you never leave Norman's Cove, there's plenty to do with several hiking trails and endless shores to wander. We found a jut of rock over the water just North of the cove where we could watch the whales come in at dinner...

« Stayed here over Christmas for a few days as we visited family in Harbour Grace. The location was what got us there but the view and the quality of the accommodations is why we would recommend it to others. We didn’t meet the owners but they were in regular checking to see if all was well.
