Once the mouth of the Colorado River millions of years ago, this creek welcomed Conquistadors, French expeditions, and was the original plantations of Stephen F. Austin who died in near by West Columbia. We had plenty of towels plenty of space wonderful fishing place and was able clean the fish outside. Awesome lighting. We made some wonderful new family memories there very blessed. Recent rains had resulted in tall grass, mosquitoes, and bugs inside. Both grills were out of service. The owner had promised a replacement within 24 hours of arrival but failed to show. The screens on the outside building were torn. We couldn't keep the mosquitoes out. The gazebo on the patio was broken and had ragged remains of a tarp hanging from it.
