Ideal location and very friendly helpful staff. Breakfast was excellent with a good combination of buffet and menu. The only downside for us was no lift. They helped to make our visit in Bath more wonderful, giving us a map and advice on where to go and what to see. We arrived later and were assigned a room on the top floor - climbing the steps was a bit of a hassle, the bathroom and shower accommodations were a bit small, but other than this the facilities were very comfortable. We were able to find a place to park in front of the hotel and didn't have to get back in our car until we left town, everything was within walking distance. We thouroughly enjoyed the stay and recommend it to anyone who visits Bath. It is close to the city center and within walking distance of most attractions. Dukes Hotel is a pet friebndly hotel which means that they will allow you to have a well behaved pet in your room. Understandably dogs were not allowed in any of the hotels public areas which should reassure those non pet owners visiting. The owners of the hotel were very helpful in signposting us to the nearest park to take our dog for exercise which was very close to the hotel and very convenient. Being able to bring my pet to such a lovely hotel was a pleasure and made me want to respect the surroundings as a consequence of that. The breakfast was very nice and the oweners were clearly keen to please and make sure the stay was a pleasant one. Being able to have a parking permit from the hotel in order to park near to it (subject to a space being available) was also a big bonus as it is difficult to find parking in bath. So the whole experience for my one night stay was perfect and I would not hesitate to recommend this hotel to pet and non pet owners equally.
