Villa #162 is a traditional mountain chalet that overlooks Bryce Resort's golf course and Bryce Mountain. Leaf cover in the summertime somewhat obscures the view, but wintertime views are wonderful. The great room's huge windows, doors and deck keep you close to nature and gazing at the view. Please note that access to this mountainside chalet includes 16 steps down to entry level from the parking area. Located within the Bryce Resort community, this chalet is about 1.5 miles from the Resort's main lodge and ski/bike lifts, and 1 mile from the Basye Community Store. Please review the listing photos carefully. This chalet is clean and well maintained, but rustic. It's an affordable, comfortable retreat for a wide range of guests. FEATURES & AMENITIES: The open, spacious great room includes a dining room and living room with a wood-burning fireplace. Firewood is provided from late fall through early spring. The kitchen is conveniently located adjacent to the great room and includes basic cookware, tableware, appliances, and a basket-style drip coffee maker (filters provided, but please bring your favorite grind). The main floor also includes a bedroom with king bed, a second bedroom with double bed, and full bath. The cozy loft has a twin bed, a double bed and full bath. The finished basement includes a second living room, game room with a futon, a bathroom with Jacuzzi tub and sauna, and laundry room. Sleeps 9. The chalet is supplied with bedding (pillows, bedspreads, blankets), fresh bed linens, one towel set per max occupants, one travel-size bar soap per max occupants, two rolls toilet paper per bathroom, two dishwasher tabs, five trash bags, one bath trash bag per bathroom, one paper towel roll, one kitchen dish towel, one travel-size dish soap, and one scrubby pad. We encourage guests with large groups, or who are staying several nights, or who are heavy users of consumable supplies to bring extra supplies or purchase them at the local Basye Community Store. The flat screen TVs include basic cable, and high-speed 50mbps WiFi internet is sufficient for working, streaming, and limited gaming. There's a DVD player for movie night and a wide selection of DVDs (free to borrow during your stay) at our Check-in Office. OTHER NOTABLES: Pets are permitted for a $100 fee per pet, per stay (maximum three). This is a Self-Check-In unit. You'll receive check-in instructions via email seven days prior to arrival (or immediately if booking within seven days) that include the property's address, driving directions, a unique Key Code, and other important information. This property does not have an outdoor hot tub, grill, or fire pit. Guests have unlimited access to the Bryce Mountain Escapes pool at our check-in office (2565 Orkney Grade). See pictures of our pool in the unit listing. It's open 9am-5pm, Monday through Saturday between Memorial Day and Labor Day. Quiet hours after 10:00 pm are strongly enforced by the local security and police. MOUNTAIN & VALLEY FUN: Bryce Resort offers many activities and features throughout the year, including snow skiing/boarding, snow tubing, golf, Lake Laura swimming, canoeing, paddle boarding, paddle boating, and kayaking, and a thrill-filled lift-accessed mountain bike park. Definitely could use some updating, but everything worked. The bed was very hard, although some people prefer that. There were no paddles or ping-ping balls anywhere we could find to go with the ping-pong table. Also, every other vacation rental we have stayed at through VRBO or Air B & B has had some basic staples like salt & pepper so we were surprised that there were none here. Be sure to bring playing cards or games in case the weather keeps you indoors—there are none at the property.
