![I was atop Mt. Chopok, in the Low Tatras Mountains. Chopok is at 2,024 m (6,640 ft) and is the 3rd highest peak of the Low Tatra Range. The views were truly breathtaking from there! Including the meteorological observatory tower covered in snow. But, most of my time in Slovakia was in the High Tatras. The mountains there are even bigger and more epic. I was based in the small city of Poprad and took trips every day. I was in Slovakia in September 2015, too. But this was my 1st time in winter! And with a good camera ;). I also had a wonderful time in Budapest, as well! My very 1st time there. But, while I spent most of my time in the High Tatras I loved being in the Low Tatras! The mountains were absolutely magnificent! And I came to Chopok at a perfect time of day :).

"THE WORST PLACE EVER IN MY LIFE! In the morning I noticed that I got bitten by a bug. But I never knew what it was. I went back to my home and for few weeks I found my skin is so itchy, and I found the bed bugs. This ruined my weeks and it cost a lot to call the expert to disinfect everything at my house. I am 100 percent sure that it came from here because I have never exprienced this before. JUST DONT GO THERE."

"Wir waren für 2 Nächte in der Penzion und waren doch überrascht, dass wir wohl in der traumhaften Urlaubsregion zwischen Hoher und Niedriger Tatra in einem Industriegebiet mit Fußballplatz und neben der Bahnstrecke gebucht hatten. Das Zimmer war einfach eingerichtet und saber. Fragen zur Region wurden an der Rezeption oberfächlich beantwortet. Der eine mag dieses, der andere jenes und wenn man mehr wissen mag, können man das Internet bemühen. Na ja, dann reicht auch ein Check-in Automat. Das...
