The hotel is situated in an idyllic quiet surrounding of Mariastein. The hotel room was spacious and clean and quiet. No noise from outside. The service of the staff is amazing. They go above and beyond. Breakfast is amazing with fresh products (bread, cheese, cold cuts, cereal, milk, eggs).

Peaceful stay

Beautiful building in a very tranquil place surrounded by gardens. Clean room and welcoming reception staff. The restaurant is separate, and I think it would have been useful to have a kettle and a little fridge in the room to make refreshments.

One night stay.

Spacious rooms, very friendly staff, good breakfast - nothing to complain. Reception closes early but ways are offered to check in later. Drawback is that the restaurant of the hotel as well as the ones in the village close early. Food after 21:00 just available in the next village, about 10 km away.

This is a former Monastery that is but a minute's walk from the Mariastein Abbey and Basilica. It is set in such a serene location that I could have spent more days there if I could. Staff is absolutely awesome and very friendly. The food at their restaurant is also very good.

Trotz der Nähe zu Basel hat man hier das Gefühl man ist sehr weit weg. Erholung garantiert. Das Hotel hat alles was man braucht um zu relaxen, vor allem in der Umgebung viiiiiel Platz.

Belle découverte

Ce lieu est situé dans un lieu magnifique et paisible à 20 Minutes de Bale ! Avec des enfants en bas âge nous avons été très bien accueillis,mais dommage que vu le grand espace dans la chambre les lits pour petits ne soient pas acceptés,nous aurions aussi mieux dormi !

Hotel outside Basel

We were traveling to Basel but did not want to stay in the city. The couple who manage this hotel were extremely friendly and accommodating. The service was wonderful. Dinner outside in the yard was excellent with the birds singing, lots of surrounding trees.

Schönes Hotel mit Klosteratmosphäre

Das Hotel liegt einige 100 Meter vom Kloster entfernt. Das schöne alte Gebäude vermittelt aber den Geist des Klosters. Es ist geschmackvoll eingerichtet. Das Personal freundlich und hilfsbereit. Das Zimmer war einfach aber geschmackvoll ausgestattet. Es gibt kein WLAN bei den Zimmern. Das Frühstück ist gut. Ich habe mich wohlgefühlt.
