For those looking to explore the local coastline, the South West Coast Path, rated by Lonely Planet as one of the top walks to be found anywhere in the world, is within easy reach. It had everything you needed and also, a lovely log fire. The tree large floor to ceiling in the lounge and the two bedrooms, had amazing views over the river and the estuary, to Crow Point. Luckily we had wonderful weather and in the evenings, we were treated to spectacular sunsets. Our dog enjoyed himself! Outside the front entrance there is a secure patio for the dog. Additionally, in front of the patio, the owner has a large field, with a public footpath to other fields. Located in Braunton is the William Arms. You can take the dog into the bar area. The food is excellent and home made, with a number of vegetarian options. ##### John B. A cosy retreat that has everything you need and the owner ensures it well looked after. High standards throughout. It is situated in a quiet village (not Braunton as the listing states) that is a great base for exploring the area, a short walk and you are on the Tara Trail which is perfect for walking and cycling.
