Bike store. Private parking for 1 car. No smoking. Please note: There is a small unprotected drop from patio area.. This charming former weaver’s cottage can be found nestled in the heart of Barnsley and offers a perfect blend of traditional character and charm together with modern day comforts. Set back from a four-lane carriageway, the cottage itself boasts a rich history, harking back to the town’s thriving textile industry. Original exposed beams and period features have been lovingly preserved, allowing you to step back in time and experience the cottage’s fascinating past. Set out over three levels connected by a spiral staircase, you enter into the cosy living area where you can relax and unwind after a busy day of exploration. The well-equipped kitchen is located on the lower ground floor and provides everything you need to prepare delicious meals. Upstairs on the first floor, you’ll find a comfortable double bedroom with en-suite facilities and window shutters, ensuring a restful night’s sleep.  
  
Barnsley and the surrounding areas offer a wealth of attractions and activities to explore. You can immerse yourself in the history and heritage of the town with a visit to the Experience Barnsley Museum and Discovery Centre which is just 10 minutes from the property. Nature enthusiasts will be delighted by the stunning landscapes surrounding Barnsley and can pick up the Trans Pennine Trail nearby. The Peak District National Park is around a 30-minute drive and beckons with its breath-taking vistas, picturesque villages, and ample opportunities for outdoor adventures. For a dose of culture, head to Wentworth Castle Gardens (15 minutes), a magnificent stately home surrounded by enchanting gardens. Yorkshire Sculpture Park is a 20-minute drive and is the UK’s leading outdoor art gallery. There’s Hemsworth Water Park, where you’ll find two well stocked fishing lakes, Carlton Marsh Nature Reserve, Fitzwilliam Country Park, and National Trusts Nostell Priory, all within a 20-minute drive.
