- Originally a silk-weaver's house, Maison Martinet lies in the picturesque medieval heart of Barjac next to the chateau. It has been sympathetically modernised while maintaining its original rustic stone features. There are 2 spacious ensuite bedrooms and a relaxing living room and kitchen. The panoramic roof terrance is the ideal place to dine or watch the sun set over the beautiful Cevennes mountains. With its bustling weekly market and famous open-air antique markets twice a year, Barjac has a reputation as a cultural centre as well as being at the heart of French organic food. There are busy restaurants throughout the town which is also surrounded by some of the most scenic swimming rivers in France. It forms a great base for visits to Avignon, Uzes and the Ardeche.
