Spend your days jumping off the private dock and your evenings playing board games, gathering around the firepit at sunset, and falling asleep to the sound of the loons. What's nearby: If you're bringing your own boat, you can set out from the public boat launch and park at your own private dock, allowing you to spend every day out on the shimmering waters of Green Lake. You'll find every necessity 11 miles south in Ellsworth, with the charming restaurants, cafes, and ice cream shops of Bar Harbor only 20 miles beyond. The Hulls Cove Visitor Center at Acadia National Park is 28 miles south, so you can easily explore the park's stunning trails (the Precipice Trail, the Ocean Path, and the Cadillac Mountain North and South Ridge Trails among them), granite peaks, and sparkling ponds. Beds were all comfortable, the upper loft ladder access was not for the faint of heart but perfectly adequate for older teens and young at heart adults. Kitchen had everything you needed for a wide range of meals. If I could have changed anything; the trash and recycle would have been removed from the shed before our arrival. It contained several trash bags and full recycle containers from previous guests. Not a show stopper. Would go back and stay again. We had multiple kayaking trips around the lake, used the fire pit ant night and watched the Perseids meteor shower off the dock at night. All in all everyone had fun. ##### Stephen S.
