However, if you are staying with a larger group or for a longer time, please plan to supplement with your own supplies based on your personal needs. • Air conditioning is not needed in Banner Elk for the majority of the year. However, there will be 2 bedrooms with access to a portable air conditioning unit. There are also ceiling fans & box fans in every bedroom. Pet Policy • Please message us for pet approval prior to booking. • If possible, please add pets to your reservation during the booking process. Once added, the $100 pet fee is included as part of the nightly rate (spread out equally over the course of the stay) and in the total price at checkout. • Pet fee is non-refundable and is a flat rate for the stay. • Limit is 2 dogs; no other animals permitted. • Must pick up all droppings from pet(s). • Dogs must be fully housebroken. • Dogs are not permitted on furniture or linens House Rules • NO SMOKING. If anything is smoked inside, you will incur a $200 fee for deodorization treatment. • Do NOT leave any food outside the building. All trash MUST be placed inside the trash cans that are located inside the bear cages. If food or trash is left outside the bear cages, it WILL attract bears to the property. • Check-in time is 4:00PM and check out by 10:00AM. Early check ins and late check outs are not available due to our cleaning protocols. No parking on premises before check in time or after check out time. Unapproved late check outs may result in a $200 fee. • All visitors must be approved by host. • Be respectful of our neighbors by keeping noise volumes low.I • In order to avoid potential staining, please do NOT use bleach to clean anything during your stay. We have professional cleaners who will use bleach appropriately in between guests to ensure a high standard of cleanliness. • Do not burn incense, essential oils, or similar items. These scents are difficult to remove before the next guest checks in, and some guests may have sensitivity to smells. • Guest must sign rental agreement. Getting There • A car is essential to make the most of your stay in Banner Elk • We provide parking for 2 vehicles on site • 4 wheel drive is required to access the property, especially during snowy conditions. Beautiful, wooded setting 5 minutes from restaurants, groceries, gas. 10 min to Sugar Mountain, Grandfather Mountain. 15 minutes to Banner Elk proper, Boone and 30 minutes to Blowing Rock. Lots of activities to choose from and easy to get to. My teen daughter and I really enjoyed the space and were able to bring along our dog rather than board him or hire a sitter. Communication with host was incredible including providing a replacement Keurig when the original wouldn't turn on. Only clarification is that only the bedrooms have A/C - none downstairs. The beds were super comfortable and the couch was even more comfortable. The condo is simply decorated (which I love having simple with a child running about) and equipped with everything you need. We saw deer everyday in the back. We had beautiful weather. Warm to cold to a little snow. We skied at Sugar mountain and enjoyed the rest of the time hiking around. There is trails and a creek right outside the condo. The many stairs down was maintained when the snow came with salt. Which was very helpful and we were thankful that was available.
