New decks and interior updates. Great views Last min deals New decks completed August 2018\. Interior renovations completed November 2018\. Location, Location, Location! This spacious 4 bedroom, 2 1/2 bath home is located 0.25 miles past the entrance to Ski Beech. We are the second parking area past the entrance and about 1 mile from the Beech Mountain Club -swim, golf, and tennis areas. In the winter months, enjoy amazing views of the surrounding mountains. In the summer relax in the swinging chairs and outdoor furniture on the decks surrounded by nature or have outdoor fun with the Beech Club Membership (additional fees apply, check club website). This is Moody’s Mountain house! The floor plan is perfect for accommodating families. With over 1,680 square feet, our home has four bedrooms: BR1: one King with private full bath and access to lower covered balcony via sliding glass door, cable TV BR2: one Queen access to lower covered balcony via sliding glass door, Smart Tv with Hulu and Disney+ BR3: one twin and one full; Smart Tv with Hulu and Disney+ BR4: two separate twin beds; Smart Tv with Hulu and Disney+ All of the bedrooms are located on the same floor, which is the lower level of the house accessed by a spiral staircase. The master suite and the queen room both have sliding glass doors with access to the lower level balcony. We also have a washer and dryer on the bedroom level. The main floor has an open floor plan with two more large sliding glass doors which includes a large living room with a stone gas fireplace, dining room, a well-equipped large kitchen with very large breakfast bar, and a half bath. Wood Decking surrounds the house on the upper level and the lower level is half around on the wooded side of the property. WiFi is provided in the house. We have two parking areas with enough parking for 5 cars; one area is on the paved road and the other is at the bottom of the property with manmade steps up to the house (they are very neat). Everyone that has come into our house has said that they feel like they are in a tree house. We have hired the best cleaning team on the mountain to make sure that your stay is comfortable and relaxing. Sorry, we are no longer accepting pets on reservations. We are conveniently located on Beech Mountain Parkway near Fred’s, sledding hills, ski rentals, and everything Ski Beech. Beech Mountain offers numerous year-round activities. Winter activities include skiing, snowboarding, ice skating and sledding (home includes several sleds). In the warmer months, enjoy golf, tennis, swimming, fishing and white water rafting. Please check out the Beech Mountain Chamber of Commerce and Beech Mountain Resort website for a calendar of events. 4 Wheel Drive is strongly recommended during the winter months. Beech Mountain is also close to some of North Carolina's top attractions including Grandfather Mountain, Sugar Mountain, The Blue Ridge Parkway (and Linn Cove Viaduct), Linville Caverns, Linville Falls, Tweetsie Railroad and The Blowing Rock. The Biltmore House in Asheville, NC is about two hours away. We have visited Beech Mountain multiple times and usually stay in a smaller home right on the slopes, but needed a bigger place in case our friends joined us a couple nights. This home was perfect with multiple bedrooms on the lower floor. The location was walkable to the beech resort, but we usually drove over since parking there is free and it was coooold! There are a few other shops and coffee shops located right outside the resort entrance too, and we were minutes to Fred's and restaurants. The house itself was clean and had a lot of basic supplies for cooking and cleaning. The house also had 5 TVs, games and sleds to use on the free sledding hill! On our first morning we woke up to deer right outside the bedroom windows and saw deer a few times. We also saw a fox. We would definitely stay here again! I do want to note the stairs are steep/curved. I was glad my kids were teenagers. I would not recommend for toddlers/small children since all bedrooms on bottom floor, although I did see a safety gate in the closet. The owners and management team were very nice and responsive to our questions/needs. ##### Jodi H. It is within a short walk (10 min) if you don’t want to deal with parking hassles on a busy weekend (drop everyone off with equipment drive home and walk back), or if there is a massive snow storm, as we just had, the skiing doesn’t have to stop. The property also was well equipped to deal with the winter weather. The house is cozy and has all the amenities you could want. The owners we responsive when we had questions and made sure we were taken care of. The upper deck looks out over ranges of mountains. There is a little road beneath it and other cottages but you don't have to look at them if you are sitting back on the deck. A small spiral staircase leads to the basement and the 4 bedrooms. and 2 baths. It was easier to use the outside steps to go up and down for me. but not for my husband. The kitchen was well equipped and convenient. The stone gas fireplace worked great. It's in a little community with a main busy road on one side but it is sort of tucked below that. We had almost every meal out on the deck. And speaking of meals, my chef husband cooked majority of the meals at the home. We were both impressed with how well stocked the kitchen was! It was very clean, very nice kitchen, and well stocked with games. We enjoyed eating our meals on the back deck with a beautiful view (especially at breakfast!). The Weber grill came in very handy. Location was great. Owner was very responsive. We appreciated all his kid-friendly recommendations of nearby hiking trails, parks and restaurants. Little touches such as an extra pack ‘n play, high chair, well-stocked kitchen supplies, and hammock made our stay even more enjoyable and relaxing. Great views out on the covered back deck!
