I understand that you get what you pay for but for 2,000 baht (all in) a night for the deluxe room with balcony, I expected at least the basics. 1) First, the room door handle. I had to literally use my full body weight to press down on the handle and push for the door to open. Opening the door from the inside is similarly difficult. 2) the room is dusty and dirty and there is a stale, off putting stench that does not go away even after I opened the balcony to air the room. 3) No shower cap and it is not even available upon request. Same for cotton buds or tissue paper. They give a roll of toilet paper instead. 4) Male front counter staff was rude and indignant when I asked why my room was not made up even though I left early morning and only returned at night. The middle aged man, whom I believe is the owner actually, which makes it all the more scathing, retorted rudely it was my responsibility to hang the reversible "make up room / do not disturb" sign on the door handle.
