Mike and Barbara are fantastic hosts! The rooms are immaculate and very comfortable making you feel as though you are home from home. Breakfast was incredible, fresh, homemade and delicious (thank you Barbara for doing my scrambled eggs just as I like them). All in all, we had a a really lovely stay and would love to come back.

Mike and Barbara are outstanding people and gracious hosts. They made our stay very enjoyable. Their B&B is very clean and in a great location in Bloxham. Their breakfasts were over the moon good. We would stay there again.

Attention to every detail!

Mike and Barbara have made a perfect paradise for their visitors. Their home is clean, beautiful and friendly! The homemade cookies that greet you are delicious and the breakfast amazing and filling. Communication is wonderful with complete directions to their beautiful home. They have truly thought of every detail to help you have a delightful stay.

The hosts at Virginia House pay every attention to detail and their rooms and property are shown in the best light. I was comfortable and had a good rest. The Nespresso machines in the rooms were great.

The property is charming, spotlessly clean, comfortable and quiet. Room was spacious and comfortable. The breakfasts were delicious. Michael and Barbara are welcoming hosts and extremely willing and helpful. Instructions for arriving by car from Heathrow should be rewritten to be clearer and more explicit.

Perfect Stay

Mike and Barbara are truly the perfect hosts of this gem of a B&B. My fiance' and I travelled from London and stayed at Virginia House while exploring the Cotswolds. Our stay was truly perfect: from check-in to breakfast, everything was impeccable. If you are worried about travelling during these unprecedented times and spending a night somewhere that is not your home, this is the place to stay. Mike and Barbara have pulled all of the stops and went above and beyond what is required to make your stay as pleasant and as safe as possible. The room was spotless and every little touch/detail throughout the stay will make you feel at home (well, better than home!!). I also need to mention the breakfast was beyond delicious!Thank you both for your kind hospitality and for making our stay truly special!

A lovely Covid-safe second stay

This was our second stay at Virginia House having visited the Cotswolds in summer 2018. Mike and Barbara provided the same fantastic service and delicious breakfast that we remembered previously. Additionally they had worked hard to ensure that all guidelines for Covid safety were followed, including using their private dining room in order to allow guests to be fully socially distanced. Everything was spotlessly clean.I'm sure we will be back to continue our exploration of all that the area has to offer.

This is by far the best BnB we have ever stayed in. From the second you arrive to the moment you leave. Everything about it was perfect, the location, the room, amenities, cleanliness, breakfast. We were very warmly welcomed by Barbara and offered fresh coffee and the most delicious homemade shortbread!! Our room was lovely with fluffy towels and everything we could ask for. The bed was comfortable and we had a really good nights sleep. The breakfast is fantastic especially the sausages!!! Mike and Barbara are brilliant hosts and we hope to return there next year!!!

My stay was perfect! The building is a classic English Stone House in the middle of a quaint town. My room was spotless with an excellent bed and modern full bath. The owners are very nice and provided me with guidance to local eateries (the Red Lion is within easy walking distance and provided a great eating experience), and the breakfast included with the stay was incredible! All in all, I can highly recommend the Virginia House.

Very, very good....

Fantastic B&B!... Owners very welcoming and friendly, the room was modern and extremely clean with some nice touches (small jar of homemade biscuits and a Nespresso machine). Breakfast superb. Thoroughly recommend and will be staying again when I'm next in the Banbury area.
