Exactly what vacation should be. Nestled in the mountains of Dominicalito, Congo Jungle is a one story luxury home with 4 bedroom suites including a gourmet size kitchen, living/dining area, pool, sun decks and an amazing gym. With incredible ocean views from almost every corner! Don't be surprised to see any number of Costa Rica's exotic wildlife living in the jungle bordering the property or in our beautiful landscaped gardens! This single-level residence features an open floor plan with design elements that tactfully open the home up to gorgeous outdoor spaces. The vaulted ceilings and large sliding glass doors in the main living area create a smooth transition between two different worlds. The views from the western side of the home are dominated by blue hues with a tropical pool overlooking the Pacific Ocean. To the east, the setting completely transforms into an emerald green rainforest setting with old-growth trees and a natural freshwater creek flowing in the backyard. With nothing but rainforest-covered mountainside behind the property, here you will enjoy complete privacy – other than the Howler Monkeys and Toucans that are regularly seen here. Two master suites on the western side of the home feature ocean views, private bathrooms, spacious closets, and direct access to the pool lounge area. The two bedrooms located on the eastern side of the home feature ample storage space and direct access to the rainforest backyard. The home also includes a fully equipped kitchen with granite counters, a laundry room, a storage room, 2 vehicle carport and a third full bathroom located off of the living room. Luxurious Guanacaste wood finishes were used throughout the entire home including custom kitchen cabinets, windows, and doors. With plenty of lounge space for everyone to enjoy Casa Congo includes amenities for all including flat screen TV in the living room and high speed internet service in every room! Fully equipped kitchen includes a full sized oven, gas cooktop, full sized refrigerator, microwave, toaster, coffee maker, blender and enough cabinet space for longer stays. A state of the art gym is available for guests to enjoy while enjoying the view! Our knowledgeable concierge service can help you book all of your local excursions, rental car, Airport shuttles and more to make your stay as seamless as possible. 4x4 VEHICLE IS REQUIRED to access this property Come and enjoy our Pura Vida lifestyle! Other things to note Drive from LIR Liberia airport - 5.5 hrs. Drive from SJO San Jose airport - 3.5 hrs. Since we meet each guest for check-in, we ask respectfully that check-ins are held between 4pm - 8 pm. Our family of 6 (with four teens) had a wonderful stay at this beautiful property. Plenty of space and lovely amenities, including fully stocked kitchen. We loved watching howler monkeys in the backyard and relaxing by the pool with beautiful view in front yard. Close (15-20 minutes) to both Dominical and Uvita which have amazing restaurants. It was very helpful to have the 4 bedrooms giving everyone a room and space and having 3 bathrooms was great too! We all liked having the open area of the kitchen and living space for us to talk and get things ready for the day. The house was generally clean, the beds were comfortable, the kitchen was equipped with everything we needed and the host was very kind leaving us coffee! We enjoyed the pool a couple evenings- wished we had more time but there is so much to see and do in the area. The monkeys are loud ! :) several in the trees in the backyard, a lot of wildlife near the house! We loved it! You will need 4 wheel drive/ higher clearance to reach the house, the road is gravel, mostly dirt and very bumpy. The pool was used all day every day and all outside seating options provided places for people to congregate or to get away. The jungle side provided views of monkeys and many birds. Ocean view and sunsets were stunning. We regularly worked out in the first class gym, including the 5 year old. Equipment was high quality and views from the detached building while working out enhance the experience. Access to a large load washer and dryer with detergent kept clothes and towels fresh. Amenities, such as beach towels, beach chairs, a few games, and many comfortable, outside and pool chairs contributed to an excellent stay. Kitchen was well equipped for many family meals. Beds were comfortable. Last Cristina and her friendly crew were highly responsive to all our needs and requests. We would return to Ocean View in a heartbeat.
