    Floor-to-ceiling windows provide truly inescapable views of South Beach's coastline. On the other side of the house is an equally alluring view of the untouched Maritime Forest. On the first floor of the main house are three family-friendly suites, each with its own private bath. Two are furnished with a Queen bed and a Twin. The third, and largest, is a Queen that is set apart-offering a little more privacy. The first level also boasts a bright, comfortable sitting area with bench seating and a flat-screen television.

    Up the stairs, to the main floor of this reverse floor-plan home, you'll find a vast living space featuring towering ceilings and breathtaking briny vistas through walls of windows. This bright, light-filled area features clean lines, contemporary furnishings and a decorative fireplace. Nearby, the open, luxe dining room easily seats eight with extra chairs to squeeze ten and also serves panoramic views of the beach. If you prefer alfresco dining, a table that seats six is on the adjacent screened porch just through sliding doors. For forest views, enjoy your food on yet another shaded deck. Inescapable View's kitchen features granite counters, a kitchen island with prep sink, stainless appliances and a breakfast bar that seats four-making this kitchen a chef's dream. There is also a wet bar to help you relax and rejuvenate.

    Occupying this home's top floor is the King Owner's Suite boasting a private balcony that delivers grand views-it's the perfect spot to relax in the morning or watch the evening's sunset. The secluded sitting area just outside the bedroom provides a tranquil location to catch up on some reading or doze in one of the comfortable chairs. The bedroom itself offers a luxurious King bed and a flat-screen. Its accompanying ensuite includes both a jetted tub and a customized tiled shower across from his and hers sinks.

    Down the boardwalk from the main house (just thirty yards) is the crofter guest house. This three-story haven is as big as some full-size houses! A large Queen suite with its own private bath encompasses the entire first floor. On the second level you'll find two more suites, each with their own private full baths. One of these features a Queen and the other holds two Twins. Both access a roomy balcony that overlooks South Beach. The crofter's third floor features a large living space that includes another comfortable sitting area with a flat-screen, a dining space with a table that seats six and a kitchenette with sink and mini-fridge. Adjacent to the kitchenette is a roomy balcony where you can enjoy views of the coastline while rocking to gentle breezes.

    Inescapable View's amenities include three golf carts (two four-passenger carts and one six-passenger) as well as support through WWP's 24/7 Property Manager Assistance Line-which means you can reach needed help even after hours or on weekends. This house has a one-week-minimum stay year round. NOTE: WIFI is available in main house only. No crofter wi-fi access. Once you stay here, you'll want to escape every year to Inescapable View!

    IMPORTANT NOTE ON CLUBS: Both clubs are independent from WWP or any WWP properties. As such, all arrangements for temporary memberships must be handled by renters directly with the Clubs. Renters are strongly encouraged to make desired reservations with the club immediately upon booking, and also to become familiar with club policies, procedures, and schedules. Exceptional Rental

Inescapable Views is the perfect description for this home! My family enjoyed the different views with most of our time spent on the various porches, and all gathered for meals on the screen porch off the dining room. The large kitchen allowed several cooks in the kitchen while the kids sat on barstools playing cards. This home is the perfect spot to host a large family.

Reviewer Comments: Great Property / Great Location - Overall a great family experience - the property owners/management should address the following - Outdoor Grill REPLACEMENT as the current is barely functional, Golf Cart Battery REPLACEMENT as they do NOT hold a charge. Bald Head Island / Shoals Club Memberships - Property Manager needs to provide more detail on how these temp memberships work - BHI Club offered a 3 day membership for $620 and then additional fees for golf $125 - so that means $745 for a single round of golf - this property really needs to offer a better golf option.

Not Perfect, But Pretty Close

The house was lovely and spacious. A few issues were, the air conditioning downstairs did not cool as well as the upstairs. The golf carts would not hold a charge very long and one at the Crofter did not have brakes. The kitchen needed upgrades of the pots and pans and the sofas in living room needed replaced. The gas stove top would not light the last day we were there. We called and someone came right out and checked it, but was still not working when we left the next day.

The kitchen with it's double dishwashers and double garbage cans was so nice for our big crowd. The kitchen was also well outfitted with all the necessities, even a crockpot and a Keurig. (That would be be good to know before traveling!) The house was in good working order except for the dishwasher racks missing some wheels. As with any rental, there were some very minor issues with some routine maintenance items. We loved the house and it's location on the high dunes. The sunsets were amazing from the upper decks.

We especially loved the main level (kitchen, dining space) as it was perfect for our group to enjoy dinners together. We did run into a few items that needed attention:Carts are in very poor condition, one didn’t work at all. We ran out of gas, so no range to cook our meals one evening. The grill didn’t work properly and needed attention. One dishwasher didn’t work. Wendy was an absolute star and assisted with all of these items and that’s the reason we will be back, but maybe not this home unless some of the items are addressed.

We were disappointed with this rental. No one ever answers the phone for "On Island Assistance". We had ongoing bug problems in the crofter - killing at least 3 cockroaches daily. The pest guy did come and spray but it didn't really help. There was NO Wi-Fi in the crofter. We didn't have air conditioning in the crofter for a day (8am-3pm) of our vacation because it was being replaced without any warning from the rental company. For the amount of this rental cost, the A/C should be replaced on turnover day (Saturday) so it doesn't impact anyone's vacation.

Location was great. The main BR in the new house was great but the 3 BRs in the basement are small, beds uncomfortable, and it smelled musty. You could not walk barefooted as your feet would turn black...bad cockroach problem as they were all over the house....just saw that in review from 9 months ago so obviously not resolved. Also noted the other reviews talked about the golf carts. They were outdated and broke down on us 3 times. We notified property management and nothing was done. Finally on last full day they came to take a cart away, not replace. We have no problem paying for an expensive rental property because you typically get what you pay for. But this is definitely overpriced based on cleanliness and outdated aspects..,..plus evident water damage around windows that has never been repaired.

August 2020 Stay

We loved this house! We are a large close family and being able to be in one compound with the main house and crofter was perfect for us! The kitchen is amazing for a family who LOVES to cook and the space of the living area is great to spread out! We have booked for next year. Hope to have new golf cart situations but Wendy Wilmot team took care of everything in a nice quick fashion for a slow paced turtle time island! Thank you!!

Ocean view was spectacular. Nice architecture but split houses did not work well for our group. Kitchen was fantastic and tv’s worked well. Master suit is great but other beds were not comfortable. Lots of roaches and some roof leaks with heavy rains. Carts are old and did not work well. Not up to par for price.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Beautiful home on BHI, this was our second stay in that particular property; the location is beautiful and the views just right. Close to the beach and spacious for large groups, with a nice living room for evening game playing. This time around we were a little disappointed with a few house maintenance details; the oven doesn't work well at all, neither do either dishwasher - (thought we loved the fact that there are two, we had to go back and hand wash 30-40% of what came out of the dishwasher. The golf carts left us stranded on 4 occasions despite leaving them to charge overnight each time, there were a good amount of light bulbs that were not working, and several toilets were constantly refilling due to slow leaks. I do have to be fair and give huge props to the maintenance guys for always being right there to help and responding super fast to our cries for help, and would go back to this house in a heartbeat, also understanding that beach properties (and rentals) get beat up - but an appliance upgrade would go a long way.

Reviewer Comments: inescapable View is very spacious and well situated by the beach access 32. We loved both views of the ocean and maritime forest. This is my 17th year at BHI and I have stayed in all kinds of places. This has a lot going for it in views and space. There were a number of small issues though that shouldn’t exist for a house that costs $12,000 per week. There is not enough seating outside on the main deck. There is a lovely porch overlooking the forest but nothing to sit on to enjoy the view. Other than the rocking chairs, the deck furniture isn’t comfortable. One of the rocking chairs was broken and had to be replaced. There are only 5 outdoor chairs at the dining table. If you have a house that advertises that it sleeps 16 you should have a larger dining table that seats more than 8. The dishwashers didn’t work consistently. The appliances are very outdated. The master toilet kept running and We had to attend to it consistently. And the smaller cart is really jerky. These are easy fixes and it just seemed like it co

Great Setting for a Family Reunion

Everyone loved both homes and especially the second floor of the main house. The very large kitchen was perfect to make meals for such a large crowd. We loved the three sinks, two dishwashers, walk in pantry and separate ice machine. We also loved the floor to ceiling windows in the living room and the open floor plan on the second floor. It was great to sit on the deck with everyone and enjoy the view. The house was very clean and well maintained. We had one issue with the golf cart, but it was resolved quickly. I also liked that every bedroom had it's own private bath. My only suggestion was I wish one of the bedrooms had a set of bunk beds instead of having a queen and a twin in one room. We had a great week and would to come back again!

Your home was awesome. We loved the views and the use of golf carts so we could explore. You have a well stocked kitchen!! The only thing we noticed out of order was the initial smell when we entered was that of smoke. And their was one plug which did not work behind the microwave. Thank you so much!

We were overwhelmed by the bugs (and we are from the south), but the scheduled quarterly spraying was completed while we were there. Dozens of dead roaches were everywhere the next day. After cleaning them up, only saw a couple for the remainder of our stay. Carts were spotty, but worked. Grill was spotty, too. Only one side worked. Lots of toys and games for kids. Kitchen is well-equipped for meals.

Reviewer Comments: When we arrived, the house had air conditioning issues, the golf carts had not been recharged, and the cleaning crew was still cleaning because the previous renters did not leave until sometime in the afternoon. For the money, it should have been prepared.

We had a little bit of an issue when we first arrived but Wendy's team was responsive, creative, and very available. Highly recommend Wendy's team and this property.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We loved this home. Beautiful views and spaces for a large family. Internet was a bit iffy but hopefully this will improve. Lots of chairs and bikes. Golf carts were in good shape.
