We have included many luxury touches including fluffy monogrammed robes & towels, Egyptian Cotton bedlinen, Denby crockey and underfloor heating in the bathroom and sitting room. We welcome well behaved pets; the rear courtyard garden is ideal for pets as it's totally enclosed and there are many fabulous walks from the doorstep. A new kitchen and bathroom were sympathetically installed in 2018 to include shower over the bath and granite topped kitchen. And that's just staying local - we also did Chatsworth House (a must, super day out), Bakewell, Matlock and the Monsal Trail. This was our second visit to Thimble Cottage as both my wife and I really enjoyed our stay last time. Thimble Cottage is situated in a lovely friendly village with a couple of good local shops and three pubs. Lovely walks close by. The cottage itself is small and quaint and very cosy. The woodburner was a real treat on the cooler evenings. The bed was really comfy with crisp clean bedding and plenty of drawer and wardrobe space. The bathroom facilities were good, lovely touches of ample shampoo, conditioner and shower gel. The kitchen provided all the mod cons you would need to self cater even though we chose to eat out.. The garden yard was very small but I am sure would be quite pleasant to sit out in on a warm evening. I would definitely recommend staying at Thimble Cottage for the quaintness, the village and good to have parking close by. ##### Jane T. ### 10/10 – Excellent #### Rachel Halley H. 15 août 2017 #### We Love Thimble Cottage We did the long walk from the cottage to the Bulls Head at Monyash but added in over Haddon too.
