Bacong Vacation Packages

The food at the restaurant/bar was very good and very reasonably priced. The young ladies working at the resto bar were very nice. The room was clean and the shower was almost hot. The grounds are very pleasing to the eye and makes you feel like you're in a Philippines forest. The intermediate beach is good but the beach near the water is not useable. There is a gigantic pile of seaweed up and down the beach. After a day or two you can smell it. They charged 800peso to pick you up from the sea port 3 miles away. I asked the desk how much to pay a tuktuk for a short ride to the Palatin Beach (not worth the trip) she said 250peso. I asked some locals outside the gate and they said 30peso. A trip to the sea port and back in a tuktuk is 200peso vs 1600peso to the resort. My wife asked for a small box for her leftover pancit from the resto and they asked for 35peso. Other than the un-useable beach this nickel and dime mentality makes an otherwise nice resort seem like small time begging.

Great location close to the local restaurants, shops, and the walking path at the water. The large apartment gave us the space we needed to stay with family. The kitchen area is small, we purchased a few key items at DIY to make it more functional for us (sharp knife, spatula, towel). The swimming pool is refreshing and was empty when we were there. Washing machine in the unit is very useful. Hopefully they will add a rack to hang the clothes do drying.

Internet was terrible. The staff was nice the waiters never brought your mela receipts to sign. So while you were eating the desk person would come and shove a bunch of receipts at you to sign. It was kind of like they were expecting you to leave with out paying or something.

Clean rooms, excellent staff. Very safe, too!
