The only property access is a STEEP 200 metre cowpath over tree roots would be dangerous in rain. There were no clear signs Had to drive on that to go back to Bacalar, 25 km. away. Or room was in a building across from the gated facilities on the beach. We were not allowed to use the beach chairs, kayaks etc. Nor was there any breakfast or coffee available for purchase. The person that let is us in did not explain the access to the beach facilities. Nor did she offer contact info in case we needed something. It’s a great place to stay and for sure we will return to spend a quiet and restful time there. The only thing you need to consider is to bring something to eat and drink for lunch or to have dinner. El acceso es imposible para auto, debes rentar camioneta, es escarpado y pedregoso. José es sumamente agradable, hace de la estancia algo soportable. Los moscos son impensables, es imposible pasear aún con el repelente puesto. However there are no restaurants or services in the village and there is not even a coffee maker in the room. We were ok with making the most of the rustic retreat until we woke up in the morning to the most unpleasant sewer smell in our room. The remote manager said it would be fixed but the site manager never followed up with us to say that there was a specific remedy. We got the impression that it was a reoccurring event. Additionally this might be an ok rental as a whole property but as an individual room you will end up next to potentially noisy neighbors with a paper thin wall between you. Additionally when we wanted to leave in the morning we found we couldn’t as the large gate was locked. Es totalmente necesario llegar en auto, creo que el camino final para llegar al hotel podrían mejorarlo.
