Please note: There is an unfenced river, 50 yards away. This property has a natural water supply via borehole, bottled water provided.. The Cottage Middle West Water is a quaint, two-bedroom holiday home rurally situated just outside the market town of Axminster. Guests will love the reverse-level layout of the property, with the spacious open-plan kitchen and living area on the first floor. This is the perfect base for four guests to enjoy a relaxing stay in the heart of the East Devon countryside. As you enter the property from the parking area, level access from the first floor, head into the bright and stylish open-plan living space, which is furnished with plenty of comfortable seating and a TV. The kitchen is well equipped with everything needed to prepare a home-cooked meal, and the dining table and chairs offer a great spot for everyone to gather around to plan your adventurous day ahead. Head downstairs to the ground floor where you will discover the two bedrooms, shower room and a fully equipped utility room.  
  
The cottage is the perfect base for exploring the region, from the Blackdown Hills and woodlands to the cliffs and beaches of the Jurassic Coast. Explore the rolling countryside and moorlands, with easy access across the borders of Somerset and Dorset to experience the delights all three regions have to offer. The wonderful beaches of Charmouth, West Bay, Sidmouth and Branscombe, as well as the curved pebble bay and cove at Beer, are only a short drive away. At Charmouth, only 20 minutes drive away, you can go fossil hunting on the sandy beach or take a stroll along the coastal path to take in the stunning views of this World Heritage Site. Around the bay is Lyme Regis (15 minutes) styled as ‘the Pearl of Dorset’, a charming seaside town with a sandy beach and a range of delightful shops and restaurants. The historic harbour offers sailing, sea kayak hire and boat/fishing trips where you can bring back fresh mackerel for dinner. The River Yarty flows nearby with footpaths along the banks.  
  
Walkers, hikers, horse riders, cyclists or wild swimmers are all catered for in this beautiful part of the country. The wealth of activities to enjoy includes a host of National Trust properties including Forde Abbey, Barrington Court and Montecute House. For younger visitors, spot wild creatures at the nearby Axe Valley Wildlife Park, have a fun-filled day out at Wildwood Escot or visit the Donkey Sanctuary in Sidmouth.
