Private cove on Lake O' the Pines lots of wildlife and fishing right on property. Property is very quiet and secluded. Pines Cafe just few minutes away on hwy 729. Convenient location near dinning and shopping in Historical town of Jefferson Texas just 20 miles away. Plenty of activities on the property including a paddle boat, board games etc. Three decks with lots of outdoor sitting with several firepits. charcoal grill on upper deck. Parking for cars and boats. Circular driveway. No Wi-Fi but good cell phone services for Hotspot.

Amazing, beautiful, well stocked. We are so thankful to have stayed here. We had a vow renewal and the ceremony was beautiful, the cabin was beautifully done, and everything was so well stocked. The hosts are very thoughtful and kind!

This house was an absolutely adorable lake house with an amazing lake view! It was clean and had such cute decor. We really enjoyed our weekend stay and would definitely go back! Two things to take note about this property, the house is on a fairly big hill with a little walk down to the lake and that the location is in a cove area which is great for fishing, but the stumps make it not idea for swimming/boating. Neither of these 2 things were negative for our purposes though. Overall, we would highly recommend if you’re looking for a quiet, peaceful getaway on the lake!

This cabin is amazing. From every detail the place the host is wonderful and helpful. The bird feeder on the back deck is perfectly placed to watch the pretty red cardinals that tend to show up around 3 pm. Thank you again. We definitely will come back more and more.

Very nice place to stay. The views from the decks and the large windows in the kitchen and living room were great over looking the lake. The cabin was very clean and had plenty of room for four adult friends to have there own bed. There is a loft with a bed but didn't use it. Old guys don't like steep ladders. Overall great place to stay.

Everything is great about this property. A visit to Jefferson is an annual trip for our family. The spot we normally stay at has been taken off of rentals. This is definitely where we will come from now on! Thank you so much! PS if you decide to ever sell this place we would 100000% be interested

Fishing on Lake O’ the Pines

Very clean nice property. The owner commented well. House was very clean and very well appointed. I will say the driveway is gravel and there is no Wi-Fi available. Our cell service was ok there. I would definitely stay here again!

Perfect Getaway!

Perfect getaway for our family. It was our 20 year anniversary and we had our teens and 2 of their friends stay. Absolutely beautiful. Quick communication. Will definitely stay here again.

Slice of Paradise

The house is cozy and inviting. The kitchen, late 50's decor with a working oven from 1958, very cool. The property is breath taking. Multiple fire pits, outdoor activities and an abundence of nature to enjoy. So peaceful. A dart thrown at a location on the VRBO map landed us in a wonderful house on beautiful property.

“The Notebook”

If you’ve ever seen “The Notebook”, then you’re familiar with the setting of the house on the lake with gorgeous views and pure calm. At sunrise or sunset, you’ll feel like you’re in a scene of that movie. I stayed at this cabin for two days- one day alone as a writing retreat and the next day with my husband and teen kids. It was wonderful and we all plan to return again! The cabin was clean and cute and there was so much to do! I could see it also as a perfect getaway for a group of girlfriends.

Great Stay

We spend Thanksgiving week here and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The house was very clean and very well-stocked. It was probably the best stocked house we have stayed in to date. The views are amazing and the scenery is gorgeous. Lastly, the house is in a secluded area yet very close to a few towns for supplies and restaurants.

Last Minute Anniversary Trip

Our stay at the cabin was much needed. The property is stunning. I almost gave the description four stars because it far exceeded my expectations. The property is even better than the listing looks. It is a well built beautiful cabin. The hosts were kind and generous. They did leave a bottle of champagne for our anniversary. We ended up leaving it for them. I never got a chance to thank them for such a perfect stay. We will be back and likely with our kid in tow. The lake is beautiful. Visit the care right in town and get chicken fried steak. It’s the best you will ever have! Thank you for sharing this property with the rest of us.

Great stay

House and property were great for our stay. Loved the fire pit, deck, and view. Everything was as described. No internet or cable but hubby had AT&T hot spot that worked pretty well with the smart tvs. Glad he did because my t-mobile hotspot got no service.

Great getaway!

This was a delightfully warm and cozy cabin nestled in a quiet, beautiful cove. It was extremely clean and comfortable and provided us with everything we could possibly need, including a USB to USB cable we needed for our DVD player, but left at home! While you’re in the area, be sure to take a quick trip over to nearby Jefferson. It’s a quaint and historic little town full of good restaurants, antique stores and beautiful old homes. Beautiful cabin in a great location

Tiffany and I were very impressed when we first walked inside the cabin you could smell the newness all over. Mickey the host had everything you needed in that cabin more so than any other cabin we have ever stayed at. Very clean comfortable cabin with the most beautiful view of the lake. So quiet all you could hear were the birds and Tiffany and I talking and that was it. I could go on and on and on about this beautiful cabin but I don’t think I have enough room to write everything 😊 Mickey, the host was just a phone call away to help with any questions or concerns we might have had. We plan to go back, but this time we’re taking our dogs so if you’re looking for a quiet getaway, beautiful cabin and view, this is the place I guarantee it 😊.

Very nice

I must say this was a very enjoyable getaway. My wife and I were celebrating our 43rd anniversary and Mickey's place was PERFECT! Very quiet and peaceful. They even had an anniversary gift of champagne and chocolates (Thank YOU)!!! There is much more to do than is actually listed.... paddle boat, Kayak, horseshoes. Everything was very clean, and most necessities were on site. If you are looking to getaway and relax with the family, you cannot go wrong here!! Thank you again Mickey and it was nice to meet you also. We will be booking again in the future. 😎

Super cute!!

This place has so much character!! The views are breathtaking, not what you would expect being just a few hours away from home. The children didn't want to leave. The attention to detail at the home was perfect.
