Catalina Island is easily accessible by ferry from Long Beach, San Pedro, Dana Point, or Newport Beach and is known for hiking, snorkeling, boating, and breathtaking coastal views. Important Things to Know • Golf cart included (must be refueled and returned properly; guests are liable for damage) • No visitors or day guests permitted per HOA rules • No pets, no smoking, no drones (strict HOA enforcement; fines apply) • Noise-sensitive community; quiet hours enforced • Five flights of stairs required to access unit and cart The guest has access to the entire condo, clubhouse with pool, exercise room, and other activities, private beach and playground. Customer service is a high priority to us. We like to make sure you have what you need before you arrive and get settled into our home. We are available whenever you need us, 7 days a week and after hours! Avalon • Booking Process: After booking, you must complete our electronic rental agreement and an identity verification to access your guest portal. Check-in details, including a custom door code and property information, are available in the portal after all requirements are completed. • Seasonal Policies: We have minimum stay requirements that vary by season. Summer (Memorial Day–Labor Day): 5 night minimum, no arrivals on July 4th (Independence Day) Holidays: 5-night minimum. A single reservation cannot span both Christmas and New Year's unless it is 14+ nights. No arrivals/departures on Independence Day, Thanksgiving, Christmas, or New Year's Day. • Check-In/Out: Check-in is 3 p.m. (4 p.m. in summer). Check-out is 11 a.m. • Group Travel: We manage multiple units in the Hamilton Cove community. Please inquire if you need more space for a larger family or group. Please be advised: Day guests and visitors are NO longer permitted at Hamilton Cove. The HOA will not allow guests more than maximum occupancy of the unit. We are so sorry for this inconvenience. • Property Note: This is a privately owned vacation home. Furnishings and decor may occasionally be updated and differ slightly from the photos. • Pet Policy: Pets are NOT permitted. Pricing at the time of booking is the confirmed rate. • Age Policy: We typically do not rent to guests under 25 or to large groups. It is equipped with portable heaters for cooler evenings and enjoys a wonderful ocean breeze. Portable fans are also available. • Laundry: A washer and dryer are accessible to guests just outside the unit. • Beach Gear Provided: We provide a variety of beach accessories. All linens, bath towels, and beach towels are also included. • Noise: This condo is in a residential community and, as such, is a NOISE SENSITIVE property. Respect must be shown for the property and neighbors at all times. No loud music, parties, and or loud talking outside after 10 pm. Violation of these rules MAY result in immediate eviction from the property per your rental agreement, and/or fines from the HOA. Please review your rental agreement for complete details and rules about the rental property. DRONES ARE NOT PERMITTED IN HAMILTON COVE! You will be immediately fined $500 if you are found to be operating a drone. Please carefully review the separate email detailing all HOA rules and potential consequences for Hamilton Cove. You are responsible for any fines incurred due to negligence! ALL OF OUR PROPERTIES ARE NON-SMOKING. ❌ 🚬 You will be fined by the HOA! A golf cart is provided for guests of this rental to use. Please report any issues immediately and remember to fill the gas tank before departing! IMPORTANT: Your signature to the terms and conditions of our rental agreement is in agreement to be liable for any damage to the provided golf cart whether or not damage was created by you and / or anyone in your party. Light, bright, roomy and airy space outfitted with everything you need for a short or extended stay. The golf cart was an added (needed) bonus. Super comfy bed!Loved the kitchen opening up to the living space and the ocean view! Washer and dryer just outside the front door was especially appreciated and handy. The doors to the bathroom and from bathroom to bedroom were dirty and didn't look like they had ever been cleaned. Thing appeared to be surface cleaned only, and not deep cleaned. Next to no water pressure in shower and shower had mold in the grout. There was also a screw protruding from the linen cabinet woodwork. Difficult to get access instructions or even a proper address for taxi service to get to the facility. More advance specific details would have been comforting and helfpful. Golf cart had a kitchen knife rattling around, left over sun screen, etc. and didn't appear to have been cleaned or checked between guests. Only one partial roll of toilet paper and only one extra roll with instructions to buy your own at the local store. No full disclosure of the physical challenges of massive number of stairs and no elevators. No current information on location of where to refuel golf cart, directions, maps or current event. Not what we expect in Vrbo hospitality. Not much in the way of privacy screening between units. It was an absolutely breathtakingly beautiful place but with the unfortunate challenges noted. More personal attention and focus on guest convenience and hospitality recommended. ##### J. Kent E. While view of the condo was stunning, the kitchen had dirty/ dust covered dishes/ utilinsel put away, condiments expired in the fridge, include an unlabeled bottle of unknown contents, no pot holders or dish towels. Additionally the water was shut off for a full day with the management unaware. When it came back on it was brown and uneven in water pressure, and the management didn’t give us any advice on how to handle the issue when we reported it. Again overall it was an amazing trip, this didn’t ruin anything. But when expecting something a bit luxurious for the price, this fell short, thus the 3 stars. ##### Olivia G. We enjoyed beautiful sunrises and a variety of activities on Catilina Island. The golf cart that comes with this rental especially helped us get around town and up into the hills to see additional views. During our three day stay, we spent time exploring the town of Avalon. We recommend the history museum and going to the casino and watching a movie there. There are great restaurants, and the condo was well equipped for cooking. Going on a submarine we saw a nice variety of fish in the reserve. We hiked the Hermit Gulch Trail. Great views and we saw one fox. We also took a tour which took us up and back along the ridge where we saw bison. This was our first time on the island. We were there to celebrate my 70th birthday. From the incredible and consistent communication to the accuracy of the listing, my family and I loved staying at this location. We had only a small snafuu with the golf cart upon our first night there but the communication with the host and their prompt response was so appreciated and top notch service. The place was clean and well furnished, the location was unbeatable, the views were unreal, and the value for the place that we got was incredible. It's a private community with tennis courts, a pool, hot tub, a golf cart, gym, and a small beach. My family and I absolutely loved our stay and plan on visiting again next year! The view from the balcony is gorgeous and the weather was perfect. There was a slight hiccup as the guard didn't have our trip information denying us entrance to the community. Thankfully, the property manager was able to take care of the issue promptly. The unit itself provides you with everything you need, however, I would recommend the property manager supply 1-2 more pillows and blankets for the sofa bed. I would also like to note the amount of stairs you have to take to access the unit. If stairs aren't a problem for you then you'll be just fine! My dad was on crutches due to knee surgery a month prior and navigated the steps delicately but it was slightly uncomfortable. Personally, the view makes the stairs worth it! Catalina Island is truly a slice of heaven. ##### Bailey F.
