This beautifully updated condo features a king-sized bed for a restful night’s sleep and an open-concept living space with stunning views of the Pacific Ocean. From the living area, bedroom, and private deck, you can enjoy sweeping views of the ocean, palm trees, and even Los Angeles on the horizon. The condo is perfect for a tranquil getaway, offering modern amenities including a fully equipped kitchen, dining seating for two, and a private balcony. The island is divided into two main towns: Avalon, where Hamilton Cove is located, and Two Harbors. Avalon offers quaint shops, restaurants, and local attractions, while the surrounding wilderness offers hiking, biking, and nature walks under the stewardship of the Catalina Island Conservancy. Whether you’re taking a ferry from Newport Beach, Dana Point, Long Beach, or San Pedro, you’ll find plenty of opportunities to explore the island’s natural beauty. The private beach in Hamilton Cove is just steps away, providing a perfect spot for relaxing or enjoying the ocean breeze. The guest has access to the entire condo, clubhouse with pool, exercise room and other activities. Avalon Policies & What to Expect IMPORTANT: Your signature to the terms and conditions of our rental agreement is in agreement to be liable for any damage to the provided golf cart whether or not damage was created by you and / or anyone in your party. Additionally, the golf cart must be fueled up at the end of your stay, golf cart must be parked in designated spot, and cover put back on golf cart. Please be advised: Day guests and visitors are NO longer permitted at Hamilton Cove. The HOA will not allow guests more than maximum occupancy of the unit. We are so sorry for this inconvenience. DRONES ARE NOT PERMITTED IN HAMILTON COVE! You will be immediately fined $300 if you are found to be operating a drone. Please carefully review the separate email detailing all HOA rules and potential consequences for Hamilton Cove. You are responsible for any fines incurred due to negligence! Arrival/Departure Policy: Check in time is 3 pm and strictly enforced. (From Memorial Day weekend through Labor Day, check-in is at 4pm) Check out time is 11 am. Please follow all instructions for your arrival and departure in our email and phone call correspondence. There is signage around the home to assist with the use of amenities and questions that you may have during your stay. We are available too, even after hours-give us a call! Nightly Minimum Policy: 4 night minimum required in the off season. 6 nights AND a Saturday Check-in is REQUIRED during peak season (June - August). Last Minute Booking Policy: If a guest books with us directly or on any OTA such as Airbnb and VRBO, within 72 hours of arrival, verification credentials are required. To properly vet a guest with such short notice requires the following; a “selfie” photo specifically of the booking guest’s face and holding either a Driver’s License, Passport or State ID photo under their chin. We are just looking for a name to match and the photo on the ID to match that of the person in the selfie. This can be sent by email or text to our company email address. Additionally, we need to confirm guest details such as payment, contact information, applicable check-in time, number of guests and ages, any pets, etc. This process is required, and if a guest refuses to comply then the reservation will be canceled. We have found this procedure to be successful in avoiding fraud, and protecting all parties! Any dogs that are not proven to be service animals will be fined $500. Rate Policy: Prices change on a daily basis so the rates you see today may be higher or lower when booking! Age Policy: We do not typically rent to guests under the age of 25 or large parties. Please contact us prior to booking to see how we may accommodate your group. After booking: We manage properties on behalf of our owners. Upon confirming your booking, we will send you a rental agreement for your upcoming stay which you will need to complete. This agreement reviews our terms and conditions, house rules and policies, and what to expect of your stay. We will also contact you within 24 hours of the booking to obtain contact information and to address any questions or concerns you may have regarding your upcoming visit. The check-in details will not be shared until the rental agreement has been signed, payment has been made, and the guest has connected with one of our guest services agents. The Verify Hub service is offered through Autohost; an intelligent guest screening software that automates ID verifications, background and credit checks, security deposits and more, helping to improve guest experience and safety. Property Appearance: Vacation rentals in San Diego are for the most part, second homes for the owners. Professional photos are expensive and we can not re-photograph the rental every time something is changed but we do maintain the listing content with any notable furnishing changes especially related to sleeping arrangements. Light, bright, roomy and airy space outfitted with everything you need for a short or extended stay. The golf cart was an added (needed) bonus. Super comfy bed!Loved the kitchen opening up to the living space and the ocean view! Washer and dryer just outside the front door was especially appreciated and handy. The entire community is just breathtaking and magical. We have family on the island and look forward to staying here again! ##### Trudy R. Séjour de 8 nuits en octobre 2025 ### 6/10 – Acceptable #### J. Kent E. 4 oct. 2025 Points faibles : Propreté There was no broom to sweep up floors and ants were prevalent. The doors to the bathroom and from bathroom to bedroom were dirty and didn't look like they had ever been cleaned. Thing appeared to be surface cleaned only, and not deep cleaned. Next to no water pressure in shower and shower had mold in the grout. There was also a screw protruding from the linen cabinet woodwork. Difficult to get access instructions or even a proper address for taxi service to get to the facility. More advance specific details would have been comforting and helfpful. Golf cart had a kitchen knife rattling around, left over sun screen, etc. and didn't appear to have been cleaned or checked between guests. Only one partial roll of toilet paper and only one extra roll with instructions to buy your own at the local store. No full disclosure of the physical challenges of massive number of stairs and no elevators. No current information on location of where to refuel golf cart, directions, maps or current event. Not what we expect in Vrbo hospitality. Not much in the way of privacy screening between units. It was an absolutely breathtakingly beautiful place but with the unfortunate challenges noted. More personal attention and focus on guest convenience and hospitality recommended. ##### J. Kent E. Séjour de 3 nuits en septembre 2025 ### 6/10 – Acceptable #### Olivia G. 24 sept. 2025 Points forts : Propreté While we had a wonderful time in Avalon, I would say our stay was average. While view of the condo was stunning, the kitchen had dirty/ dust covered dishes/ utilinsel put away, condiments expired in the fridge, include an unlabeled bottle of unknown contents, no pot holders or dish towels. Additionally the water was shut off for a full day with the management unaware. When it came back on it was brown and uneven in water pressure, and the management didn’t give us any advice on how to handle the issue when we reported it. We enjoyed beautiful sunrises and a variety of activities on Catilina Island. The golf cart that comes with this rental especially helped us get around town and up into the hills to see additional views. During our three day stay, we spent time exploring the town of Avalon. We recommend the history museum and going to the casino and watching a movie there. There are great restaurants, and the condo was well equipped for cooking. Going on a submarine we saw a nice variety of fish in the reserve. We hiked the Hermit Gulch Trail. Great views and we saw one fox. We also took a tour which took us up and back along the ridge where we saw bison. This was our first time on the island. We were there to celebrate my 70th birthday. It's a private community with tennis courts, a pool, hot tub, a golf cart, gym, and a small beach. My family and I absolutely loved our stay and plan on visiting again next year! The view from the balcony is gorgeous and the weather was perfect. There was a slight hiccup as the guard didn't have our trip information denying us entrance to the community. Thankfully, the property manager was able to take care of the issue promptly. The unit itself provides you with everything you need, however, I would recommend the property manager supply 1-2 more pillows and blankets for the sofa bed. I would also like to note the amount of stairs you have to take to access the unit. If stairs aren't a problem for you then you'll be just fine! My dad was on crutches due to knee surgery a month prior and navigated the steps delicately but it was slightly uncomfortable. Personally, the view makes the stairs worth it! Catalina Island is truly a slice of heaven. ##### Bailey F. There was stuff being stored in the balcony that was unsightly and in the way, the kitchen range hood was missing, the coffee mugs all were stained…some TLC would do this place good. Great location, tons of stairs as advertised. The community pool was just a short walk away and heated. The provided golf cart was easy to locate and fun to use.
