Three cottages are rented out as a single unit, giving you ample space for up to a party of 18\. Designed and decorated with a modern rustic motif, you’ll feel the relaxed every moment you are in your cottage. Each cottage has 2 bedrooms, 1 bathroom, as well as their own living rooms and kitchens. Each cottage is also equipped with a sleeper sofa. There is cable television in the living room and bedrooms as well as high speed internet with Wi-Fi, so you won’t miss any of your favorite shows or events. AC and a gas outdoor fireplace will keep the area the perfect temperature so you can relax. As you step outside your cottage and down the stairs to the deck, you can stare out over the vast lake whose waters stretch all the way to the horizon. Nestled on the shores of Ohio’s first summer resort, Whip’s Cottages keep you close to the fun all year long. The cottages themselves are located right on the main strip of the resort area. Go for a swim, take a sunset cruise, or enjoy a day of fishing with your buddies. There are plenty of restaurants and wineries right on the lake, and you’ll love getting a bird’s eye view of the area from the top of the Ferris Wheel. Bookings fill up fast. The 3 separate cottages allow for groups to be able to both come together or have time to themselves. There were 2 patios, one in between 2 of the cottages with a fire pit/grill/picnic table and table and chairs and a second patio that you have to go down some stairs to get to and there is a table with chairs overlooking the water which was fun to sit at in the morning (just be mindful if you have children there and are letting them run around). The location is incredible! You are legitimately right off of the strip on the back end (near GOTL Brewery),like walk out of your cottage and are on the strip, which was what I was looking for since we enjoyed the night life/bar crawl. We also were a short taxi ride away from the wineries and we had no issues calling Sunset and getting picked up both to and from the winery we chose to go to. The host was also great with answering any questions I had promptly! I would definitely stay there again and hopefully will for our next GOTL getaway. ##### Nina M. D. There were three two bedroom cottages and all were very nice and clean. The best part for us was being able to bring our dog. We also appreciated they had off street private parking on the property with plenty of space. There is a lower dock that offers a beautiful lake view and perfect view to see the sunset. There was plenty of outdoor seating options with a grill and fire pit. Something to note for us girls is that we couldn’t locate an electrical outlet in cottage A in the bathroom so bring an extension cord if you want to be able to use hair tools in that bathroom. They did have tons of towels for us to use which we really appreciated. The host was amazing and answered any questions promptly. This is located right by the GOTL Brewery with the Marketplace in walking distance. Great place to stay on the strip and wasn’t loud/rowdy nearby at all. Here are some things we loved about the property: - Space: the cabins sit on a plot of land overlooking the lake. There's plenty of space for cars (we had 5) and for recreation. We set up corn hole, games for the kids, etc. and had ample room to play. There's a nice patio between two cabins where we spent a lot of time. We grilled out, sat by the fire pit in the evening and, in general, enjoyed being outside. There's another deck overlooking Lake Erie, which is also nice. Again, it's big enough that our entire group could sit together and enjoy the beautiful lake. - Cabins: the cabins aren't huge but with 3 cabins, we had more than enough space to sleep, cook, watch TV and hang out. They are laid out in a way that maximizes the available space. With 3 kitchens and a grill, preparing meals was very easy. We had everything we needed - dinnerware, utensils, pots and pans, etc. The bathrooms were well-stocked with toiletries and towels. - Cleanliness/maintenance: the property and structures are well-maintained. Everything in the cabins was in good working order. The cabins were super clean. My family really enjoyed our time on this property and we're excited to make our October stay here an annual tradition! ##### Lori Y.
