We thoroughly enjoyed our visit to Austin and this property in Tarrytown was convenient providing easy access to the highway 1 loop and downtown. The owner was very responsive and as his first guests we were impressed with his preparation and his suggestions to enhance our experience in the area. The parking was convenient and ample. You can hear every conversation in the parking lot as if they were inside the unit. Loud footsteps from upstairs, not to mention the Jerry Springer show going on next door! I found the exact opposite to be the case. The area is beautiful and convenient to downtown and all areas in Austin. The condo was extremely dated and beat up. Layers upon layers of old paint, cabinets that don’t close, worn tiles, soiled furniture. The bathroom has no window and no fan, so the room fills with shower steam quickly, and felt damp and musty. No paper towels, the cheapest Walmart towels. I was embarrassed to have selected this for our family weekend. When booking, I didn’t realize this was operated by a large national corporation. You can tell they cut corners, costs, etc. They required a signed contract outside of the VRBO app (via email). Now they are spamming me with marketing emails. ##### Wendy V.
