The Space: Our apartment is perfectly situated for both business and pleasure travellers and is equipped with all the necessities you may need! This apartment will be a great choice for your stay with a small kitchenette, Smart TV, and super comfy queen bed. Here at Zodiak Stays, we provide our guests with free unlimited WIFI, towels and bed linen, as well as a welcome pack of starter amenities, and we use a high quality cleaning company so the apartment will be perfect for your arrival. The living area has a sofa, a smart TV, and a dining table with three chairs. There is also a beautiful balcony with city views and a glimpse of the ocean - great for a cup of coffee in the morning! There is a washing machine and dryer tucked away in a cupboard in the bathroom. Guest Access: Guests have access to the entire apartment. The Neighborhood: Everything you need is within walking distance from the apartment! Here are some suggestions for things to see and do on your visit to Auckland: The Viaduct - the best bars and restaurants in the city! The New Zealand Maritime Museum is here, as well as Silo Park where you can watch outdoor films for free in the evening. You can also catch ferries from here to the amazing islands in the Hauraki Gulf like Waiheke, Tiritiri Matangi, and Rangitoto, as well as go on a whale and dolphin safari. Federal Street - next to the Sky Tower (you can't miss it!) There are a lot of really nice bars and restaurants and cafes in this street, as well as the Sky City Casino and of course the Sky Tower. Dine at the top of tower at restaurant with the best views in Auckland, and jump off the Sky Walk to get down Aotea Square - Auckland's cultural centre. Surrounding the square you'll find the Town Hall, Aotea Centre, Event cinemas, and two theatres (The Civic and the Q). The square itself is a nice place to people watch and sip some coffee. An ice-rink is the main attraction here during winter. Albert Park, Art Gallery and the Museum - Albert Park is a lovely place where you can chill and read, and the Auckland art gallery is next door on Wellesley Street. If you keep walking up Wellesley Street, past Auckland University, and across Grafton Road, you will eventually find Auckland Domain which is the biggest park in Auckland and has the Auckland War Memorial Museum, as well as an amazing botanical garden. Karangahape Road (a.k.a 'K' Road) - If you head up the hill on Queen Street, you'll eventually reach K Road, where you'll find Auckland's alternative night scene. Many great bars, live music, shisha cafes, and cheap takeaways are what K Road is known for. Ponsonby – If you head West of the CBD, you will find the Ponsonby area. There is old colonial-style architecture there, many great stores for shopping, restaurants, bars, and cafes. Some of the best restaurants in Auckland are here, especially great for fine dining as this is an up-market area of Auckland. Apart from these mini adventures, Queen Street (main street the city) is filled with shops, bars, cafes, restaurants, live music venues, and more! Make sure you explore High Street as well, which lies just parallel to Queen Street. That whole area is very nice to walk, relax, or dine out in, and tends to be a bit cheaper than Queen Street if you want to do some shopping. If you want to explore further Auckland then you can take a walk towards the Viaduct from the apartment. There you will find Britomart station. (Bus and train) Getting Around: There is the SkyBus to and from the Airport, or via taxi. For trains, busses, and ferries: Britomart bus and train station/Wynyard Wharf Ferry Terminal and Downtown Pier 4\. You can also use the Lime Scooters to get around the city, as well as Uber (or Zoomy – NZ’s version of Uber). Other Things to Note: Please note decor items may differ from time photos were taken. Monthly Stays: We have a 10% discount factored into the price if you book for 28 nights or more. Key Pick-Up: On-site lockbox. We will send you the full check-in instructions on the morning of your arrival date. Parking: We do not have a free carpark for this building but nearby paid parking options are available. Personal Check-ins: We can arrange for someone to meet you at the apartment for a $85 fee. The location is central to shopping, resturants and tourist attractions. Is a bit of a walk to the harbor, but not bad.THe kitchen was well appointed and the place was clean. Being ultra picky, the arm rests of the couch should be covered or re-cleaned and the fabric is stained and it maybe time to update one of the beds. A 2 min walk to Queen street and the water front. The grocery store even closer. Check in was easy and the building was secure. Plenty of restaurants near by as well. You can see the Sky Tower from the balcony. Very clean and amenities were included. An Irish bar and a pizza place located just around the corner of the building entrance. Note the dimensions when you reserve. Two small bedrooms with 2 tiny bathrooms, a patio and kitchen. The shared living room and kitchen table each have seating for 3, which feels at least 1 short of ideal. However the kitchen is equipped with everything you’ll need to cook.Communications with the property managers were prompt but challenging. Maybe it’s chat gpt or a lost in translation issue? Weeks after we left the VRBO I continued to get messages from the property addressed to someone else requesting access for plumbers, etc. Their responses to 2 questions during our stay were equally unhelpful.
