Look out your window and watch the gentle river flow, or better yet, sit on the large covered porch. Either way, you won't be farther than 50 feet from the water. If you're looking for adventure, this area has it all. Hiking biking, ATV's, snowmobile trails right down the road. But this river is known for its kayak and canoeing. It stretches nearly 10 miles, yet you end up 0.5 miles from where you started. Fish in the river or head up to Au Train lake. The lake is great for water sports, bird watching or swimming with a sand beach and campground. The sandy shores of Lake Superior are only 1 mile away. I was not going to leave a review because it was just small things at first but by the end of the week, I had had enough. The main issue is that the outdoor space is SHARED, it says that no where in the listing and if other renters show up and take the space RIGHT OUTSIDE YOUR FRONT WINDOW over, nothing will be done and you will just lose that amenity that you paid for…wild. We were given the wrong address from the jump so we couldn’t find our cabin and had to call the host. We walked in and every piece of furniture was different from the photos and there was not enough seating for everyone like we thought from the photos. There were dirty dishes IN the cabinets. The bed sheets were dirty, sandy before we laid down….all the little stuff wasn’t enough for us to say this place wasn’t worth it and leave a negative review but after our outdoor space was taken away by the other renters-they used it ALL DAY long, no refund to be offered and just a “I’m sorry” please do better, this was our one vacation of the year and half the week we had to leave the area to avoid the people in our front yard…left such a bad vibe over the vacation. ##### Beka M. It's in a nice little community and right by the river. The nearby town is quiet but friendly and it's a short drive to Muninsing.
