The house was immaculate. The beds were extremely comfortable. The marble bathrooms were straight out of AD, this coming from my wife who is kitchen and bathroom designer. Very quiet for a perfect night's sleep. Brought our own bundles of firewood which made for a perfect Thanksgiving weekend getaway. Less than 30 minuets to Hudson NY for a great shopping experience. Séjour de 3 nuits en novembre 2025 ### 10/10 – Excellent #### Kay K. 8 août 2025 Points forts : Propreté We spent a wonderful weekend here with friends. There were three couples, and it was the perfect set up because each couple had their own bedroom and bathroom. The house was beautifully furnished, and the grounds were well landscaped. It was so peaceful and quiet outside. As soon as we walked in it felt like a vacation house. The kitchen was well appointed, and we found everything we needed. The dining room table sat six of us with room to spare and was the perfect size for a game night as well. We cooked together for some meals and went out for dinner one night and brunch one morning. We enjoyed both the outside seating on the back patio and the rocking bench on the front porch. The air conditioning worked well and kept us cool (some of us too cool) in the heat of summer. The house was a short drive to Athens, Coxsakie, and Catskill. There is a lovely river walk in Coxsakie which we enjoyed after our dinner out. Our one complaint was that the descriptions on Vrbo led us to believe that there was a water view from the house, which there was not, although it was only a short walk down to a small beach. Overall, it was a lovely weekend with friends. ##### Kay K. It was clean, beautifully decorated, and the kitchen and even the bathrooms are enviably renovated. We did have a minor issue, but the hosts handled it promptly and kindly. House is a quick walk to Hudson River. Nice morning walk on quiet Street. It was ideal house and ideal location for our weekend. The Town was fun too. Some of our guests traveled up on Amtrak and then took the ferry across from Hudson to Athens. Had so much fun doing that! ##### Katie D. Séjour de 2 nuits en juillet 2023 ### 10/10 – Excellent #### Jon B. 11 juill. 2023 Points forts : Propreté #### Holiday Getaway We were a bit hesitant to book given the lack of reviews, but the pictures were so enticing, and our hosts were so responsive to our questions and full of great recommendations we decided to pull the trigger. \*\*\*\*What a great place!\*\*\*\*\* Easy drive from NYC and two friends came by Amtrak train. We picked them up in Hudson, just 20 minutes away. The house had all the amenities we needed for a great summer weekend in the country. The kitchen was well equipped, the bedrooms all had ceiling fans and comfortable beds, and the bathrooms are gorgeous! There is beautiful outdoor space for hanging out, a great gas grill for cookouts, hammocks for relaxing and a fire pit for sharing stories over a nightcap. Accommodating hosts had the A/C ready for us after a hot day of exploring – Close to great restaurants and antiquing and we ended up catching a show at SPAC (only 45 away)!
