Conveniently located, clean and fresh and quiet. Comfortable bed & good shower. Very helpful staff. Good breakfast and complimentary water tea coffee and fruit. Perfect for short stay in Athens
Don't worry about what you're looking at from as you walk towards it - this is a great location for exploring Athens. The rooms were adequate, very clean, everything in working order. The view from the room is "Athens modern" aka renovations/ construction , but it was still nice to have it as an option. The included breakfast was very nice. The staff were very helpful and accomodating
A little confusing how to find entrance as Apple and Google maps both lead to a dead end around the corner from the hotel entrance.
All hotel members of staff were polite, friendly, helpful and kind.
The room was clean and the bed comfortable.
The balcony although only overlooking a pedestrian walkway (back of offices/shops) is a very nice addition to the room.
Bathroom is clean and a good size although as no separate door the shower does make the floor very wet.
Breakfast was tasty.
Well located and easy to walk to well known sights.
Area felt safe.
We would recommend and would stay at The Arcade again.
Location perfect, staff friendly , enjoyed 24 hours availability of water, including hot water, coffee , tea and fruits. Staff were helpful. Felt safe as I was visiting with my daughter.
We absolutely loved this hotel! We stayed in room 701 and had a better view of the acropolis from our balcony than from any of the rooftop bars we saw. The windows are also broad so you get the view all the time and the room feels very big. They have nice curtains to block out the sun if you need to sleep. The breakfast food was delicious and plentiful. The staff was super nice. We enjoyed meeting Nikos. The best part - how close it is to everything. We highly recommend this place!!
I stayed here with my 2 teenage daughters for 4 nights. We stayed in the Acropolis View Room which was spectacular. Very large and roomy with its own deck with loungers, and an incredible view of the Acropolis. All of the staff were extremely friendly and welcoming, helping us set up taxis and offering recommendations for things to do and places to eat. The location was perfect and within easy walking distance of everything.
Pros: Large room, very clean and modern, friendly staff and good breakfast. Coffee and fruit available 24/7 in lobby. Great location within walking distance of several restaurants, sights, etc.
Cons: Our room had limited windows and a nearby nightclub woke us up each night from 12am to around 2am.
Centrally located, 10 min walking to the Monasteriki plaza and metro station. Close to shops, cafes and restaurants. Uber Ride from hotel to the airport at 5.30am costs around €55 ( 35 min ride)
Metro starts after 5:30am and it takes like 45 min minimum.
Hotel is in a closed end of the main street and if you ask people for directions they don't know this street. They are doing work on the streets around this hotel and you might find all closed around it so the car can't go to drop you off right there BUT it is only 2 min walking to the main street so it's not a big deal. GPS/ wifi connection a must if you want to get there easily at least the first day when you don't know the area yet. At night this street is dark but we felt safe. Graffiti is everywhere in Athens it does not mean i and sofa bed. Mattress on the firm side, it felt ok. NO COMFORTER, ONLY A THIN SHEET.
Shower door OPEN , only one little glass covering ,water easily goes out of the shower, this is a design I have seen in many European hotels😐
They provided you with shower gel, shampoo, and slippers ( that's a good thing)
Breakfast included it was good, cheese, ham, apples, expresso, capuccino, milk, Tomates, cucumbers, bread and pastries.
The staff was really helpful, available 24 hours. In November the low season starts , staff will be available from 7am to 11pm. Electronic card which is the room key also opens the main entrance door.
I will recommend this hotel.
Great stay. The staff were brilliant, so helpful and friendly. Location was walking distance to major attractions. The hotel is beside a walking precinct with lots of dining options. Enjoyed our time here.
