We honestly felt a little like we were going back in time. Such a lovely place, with an outstanding courtyard to wander in. Highly recommend the hot tub and sauna as well. Extremely quiet and peaceful. Our room was the perfect size and a beautiful view of Mt. Ashland and the hills. Close to town, great for a walk to down for a little distance. Sounds carry from other floors, so if you're bothered by hearing people moving around or quietly snoring, this isn't the place for you. I was disappointed to learn the hot tub and sauna weren't available. The hot water heater couldn't keep up when apparently all the guests must have showered around the same time. There was plenty of hot water a couple hours later when I tried again ##### Joy M. Access was easy, communication was great, room was lovely. It is great value for the price in the area (note, we had a discount but even at the advertised rate it would be a good value). The only minor item was the carpet was a bit dated. Also of note - windows do not open, we just opened the patio door for fresh air. New management took over a couple of months before our stay, they are continuing to make changes and upgrades. The chateau has the potential to be a true luxury stay in future. ##### Peggy L.
