The Lodge is an excellent choice for small and large groups with a convenient location, just 0.4 miles from the Mt Rainier National Park entrance, your adventure starts right outside our door! Old-school craftsmanship originally a schoolhouse for the kids of workers who built Mt. Rainier National Park. A blend of old-school craftsmanship and rustic country living, this lodge carries a rich history, it was originally a schoolhouse for the children of families working at Mt. Rainier National Park. With space to accommodate 8-16 guests, this lodge is perfect for large groups and family gatherings, providing plenty of room to relax and make lasting memories. Guests will have access to the entire cabin and yard. The driveway can accommodate 3-5 vehicles. Tucked into the woods for a cozy and private escape, the cabin features peaceful mountain views and is just a short stroll from the scenic Nisqually River walk perfect for unwinding in nature. Check-in instructions, address, Wi-Fi password and Wi-Fi smart lock code (to enter the front door) will be sent prior to guest's arrival. The kitchen was huge with two stoves and two refrigerators. Because the house is so old, it had lots of creaking stairs and floors so you could hear everyone moving about. Not really a negative and we soon got used to the noise The only negative thing I can say about the property is that several rooms and bathrooms were missing drapes. This made the women uncomfortable as you can imagine. The windows had hooks for the curtain rods so I can only assume that the drapes were out for cleaning. ##### Glenn M. There were plenty of comfortable, clean beds. There needed to be additional silverware, we had to bring some from home and there weren't enough towels for our large number of people. The hot water controls on the showers were difficult to control. The tables were great, the kitchen was outfitted nicely with two refrigerators and two stoves and a nice set of pots and pans.. Additional drinking glasses would have been nice. There could have been more kitchen linens. Luckily we brought some towels and washcloths from home. All in all, it was very nice. If those few supply details were addressed, it would have been a bit more comfortable. Considering the cost of the four nights, one would expect to have the supplies and hot water easily available. I was surprised how much the cost increased with additional people. I am sure these items of concern will be rectified. We would certainly consider using the cabin again. ##### Donna L.
