The property itself is beautiful and the location couldn't be better—it's right down the street from the entrance to Mount Rainier, making it an ideal base for our hike at \*\*Rampart Ridge\*\*.The unit was comfortable and thoughtfully equipped. We appreciated the ease of controlling the room temperature and the beautiful, well-stocked kitchen and full siz refrigerator, which we made wonderful use of. The bathroom was full size with amenities. A lovely touch was the provided area guide with local restaurants, hikes, and amenities.The property manager, Greg, was truly exceptional. He was incredibly responsive to all of my random text messages, even the late-night ones, which made a huge difference in our stay.\*\*A note for future guests:\*\* The listing is accurate, but travelers should be aware that the queen-sized sleeping space is a \*\*pull-out sofa\*\* (which we found to be a bit unique) rather than a traditional queen bed. Around 9 PM, I turned on the shower and realized the water wasn’t hot. I messaged the host immediately, but received no call back and only short replies through messaging. The host did not come to the property and provided no effective assistance other than asking us to check the breaker box ourselves outside in the dark. After over an hour with no solution and no running hot water, I had to rinse off quickly with lukewarm water. I was shivering and had to go to bed to warm up myself. My husband was unable to wash his hair at all.We understand it’s a small water heater, but we did not overuse it. There was no mention of these limitations in the listing, and the lack of on-site support made this a stressful and unpleasant experience.
