The furnishings and decor made it feel comfortable and higher quality. The beds are very comfortable. The kitchen is stocked well. The location was fantastic. It was so convenient to downtown as well as being able to walk to many restaurants and coffee shops. Jaan, the owner was wonderful to work with. The apartment is very well furnished, with all the kitchen equipment needed to fully completely self sufficient. The two bedroom individual suites would be perfect for two couples, or a family with kids. The location is fantastic, with City Bakery one block away, grocery stores (Harris Teeter, Trader Joe's, and Whole Foods a 10 minute walk, and a cery short walk stright into downtown. The center of downtown AVL is just over a mile away however, the neighborhood has great restaurants, a bakery and a Starbucks a short walk downhill. The only challenge was spotty wifi during storms but the wifi has two portals to give added strength. Our hostess was responsive and attentive to our requests. We were excited about the stay. Not knowing the area we strolled through several possible VRBOs in our price range. This place looked great but, let’s face it, when something looks great but has a lower price than other places...well you wonder what’s the catch. I’m here to tell you, there is no catch. Jaan’s rental is spectacular. The rooms are light and spacious. The interior design is comfortable and elegant. The kitchen is as comfortable as yours at home and well organized. The beds were perfect. Goldilocks woulda settled right in for a long stay! It’s close to everything and within walking distance of downtown. It’s an upstairs unit so if you have mobility issues and can’t climb a flight of stairs then it’s not a good choice for you. Otherwise you would be very, very lucky to snag this place!
