Grand hôtel … grand problèmes ! Positif : l’endroit est beau. C’est tout. Négatif Impossible de dormir. On entend les chambres autour comme si on était dans la même pièce. Je regrette d’avoir réservé pour deux nuits sinon je partais dès le 1er matin. Le petit déjeuner industriel est sans goût. Le seul café est celui d’une machine industrielle en poudre. Impossible d’obtenir un véritable café même en payant un supplément. Celui du bar est très bon… mais le personnel a pour instruction de ne pas fournir ce service durant le petit déjeuner. Les jus de fruits sont également industriels chimiques et je n’ai but qu’une gorgée avant de laisser mon verre. Immonde. Dans mes souvenirs ceci ressemble plus à une mauvaise cantine scolaire plus qu’à un hôtel 4*.

Trés satisfait de mon séjour au Smeraldo Beach. Belle plage, excellent restaurant. Chambre plutot petite mais (vue mer) avec splendide vue sur les iles. Je le recommande.

Très bel hôtel avec plage et parking privés. On y est accueilli chaleureusement. Les chambres sont bien agencées avec une jolie décoration très particulière. Le petit déjeuner et le dîner était savoureux. J'y sera bien resté plus longtemps

Excellent endroit pour se détendre et profiter des eaux de baignade car c"est le point fort de cet hôtel : son emplacement sur un baie privée avec une eau cristalline. Le personnel et la restauration sont de très bon niveau. Deux points à revoir cependant. Le petit déjeuner n'est pas du niveau d'un 4 étoiles : pas assez de diversité, pain et jus de fruit de qualité médiocre. Enfin, la décoration laisse à désirer, ainsi que la salle de bain : vielliottes. Mais l'emplacement sauve l'ensemble.

Bon hôtel au calme et avec petite plage privée magnifique. Personnel serviable et très sympathique. Bon état d'entretien. Idéalement situé, proche de magasins et d'excellents restaurants. Un seul bémol : la dureté des matelas des lits !! J'ai l'habitude de dormir sur un matelas dur, mais là ce n'est pas loin d'une planche en bois ;-)

Prétentieux et décevant :surfait pour un 4 étoiles
Un site incroyable : le pied dans l'eau. Plage privée et piscines à disposition. Des conditions de carte postale. Mais la carte postale est racornie, défraichie... par des équipements douteux. Ce qui ne se voit pas au premier coup d'oeil : une moquette vieillotte : tachée de traces d'eau de Javel... une ampoule de lit qui pendouille au mur hors de sa cache... près de rideaux-déco. L'équipement de nuit avec sa literie est indigne d'un hôtel normal : les lattes du sommier se sont affaissées le matin... simplement en se mettant assis sur le lit. Après réparation d'urgence... Nouvel effondrement du lit. La réclamation auprès de la cheffe-réception a abouti à une proposition de mettre... une planche sur le cadre de sommier ("tavolo"). Peu réceptif comme écoute et assez étonnant... comme service au client ! Il a fallu user d'insistance et de détermination, pour obtenir le changement du lit. Le concierge - un peu gêné - a reconnu que d'autres clients avaient connu semblable expérience. Pourtant le personnel de salle est affable et attentionné : cela ne saurait colmater une si piètre expérience !

Wonderful honeymoon experience
We booked this hotel largely based on the beachfront view and price and were a little nervous to read the negative reviews here, but our experience was wonderful. The hotel’s decor is exactly what we expected to find in Italy, having traveled around Europe extensively. It’s not modern, but it is authentic. The room was spacious and clean, with plenty of closet space, working AC, and a balcony with a frontal sea view. The free breakfast was standard European and there were plenty of options. We chose to eat lunch at the hotel a few days and the food was good with good-sized portions. The hotel is located just a short walk from the center of town, where there was a beach with rental lounge chairs and umbrellas, as well as several restaurants. There were other restaurants within walking distance as well. We enjoyed going out to dinner at night and then coming back to the piano bar/terrace afterwards to cap off the night.Yes, people reserve beach and pool chairs early in the morning, but this is also something that happens everywhere unless you can reserve — and was not an issue for us since my husband was up at 8am :) The staff was helpful and friendly; we especially enjoyed Mae, who was our waitress for lunch and drinks. We would definitely come back!

Pros - Great traditional Italian food and selection - Waiters were attentive and friendly - Air conditioned room - Various pools and a beach to relax and sunbath - Local excursions are available Cons - All drinks have to be paid for..gets expensive. - Rooms are dated..need modernising - Wifi glitchy when in your room (first floor) - Adverised garden view fails to mention overlooking the car park (Has parking) - Beach felt artificial, man made, not real sand, sun chairs rather sun beds on the beach. Only sun beds around the pools. Beware these are reserved early using the towel deposit ploy! Note is isolated but this is clear from initial booking.

The hotel looks a bit tired but it is nice overall. There is a private beach, which is nice enough and a wonderful bar overlooking the Maddalena Archipelago. The food and drinks are very good. The location is excellent. Overall, staff are nice when there are no problems. Therefore, in normal circumstances, I probably would have given a better review. The reason why my review is less positive than it might have been is because of the appalling customer service provided by the Deputy Director. I had a very bad experience with the tour operator the hotel works in partnership with as they (tour operator called Fortieventi) had cancelled my reservations for the Emerald Coast Tour 3 times, one of which one hour before pick up, on my birthday. As a consequence of this I wrote a negative review. What I had not realised was that another tour (Barbagia tour) I had booked through the hotel was with the same tour operator, therefore, after my negative review not only did they (Fortieventi) cancel my reservations, but they also wrote a very offensive email about me (the customer) to the hotel. The deputy director sided with the tour operator and completely failed to listen to me and value me as a customer. In her opinion the behaviour of the tour operator was of little significance to her and she was more interested in keeping a good relationship with Fortieventi. Basically, at this hotel if you raise an issue, do not look for any support from management unless you are a German speaker.

Super schöne Lage. Nicht genügend Sonnenliehen für alle Gäste. Sehr lautes Klavier bis Mitternacht Billiges unbefriedigendes Frühstück..(Massenabfertigun) Frühstücksraum überfüllt und eng schlechte Betten, sehr laute Kleine, teilweise sehr arogantes und freches Personal, aber auch superliebed Personal. Schlecht gemanaged, jeder ist wie er Lust hat zu den Gästen.

Sehr schöner und ruhiger Urlaub. Die Lage an der Costa Smeralda ist top. Wir hatten Halbpension gebucht und das Angebot bzw. die Auswahl beim 4-Gänge-Menü ließ keine Wünsche offen. Bezüglich des Frühstücks besteht noch Luft nach oben. Nur eine Salamisorte und 2 weitere Wurstsorten finde ich zu wenig. Auch gab es die ganze Zeit den gleichen Schnittkäse. Das Angebot ein Spiegelei oder ein Omlett zu erhalten fehlte ebenfalls. Es gab nur Rührei und hartgekochte Eier. Die Auswahl an Dolce und Obst war hervorragend. Die Zimmer mit Meerblick wunderbar. Grundsätzlich tolle Swimmingpools allerdings zum Schwimmen wenig geeignet bei einer maximalen Tiefe von 100 cm. Preise und Auswahl von Getränken waren gut.

Great place to stay! Room was large, clean, with a comfortable bed and plenty storage space. I loved the built in wardrobes. Decoration not ultra modern but it didn't feel antiquated either. Abundant breakfast that is organised as best as possible in covid times (I actually prefer for people not to be able to serve themselves). For Italy, I expected the pastry selection to be wider and of better quality! But overall good breakfast. The staff were all professionally friendly. I was very impressed with the cleaning team, they went out of their way to find us the perfect pillow! The area is good if you have a car to explore Sardinia, but also has many great restaurants nearby (Foodie and Sole Mare!) for when you want to have a drink with your dinner. The hotel has several smaller swimming pool, access to a nearly private beach, and a tiny beach, it's a great place to relax.

Wunderbare Ferienwochen in toller Anlage
Sauberkeit und Pflege der Anlage top. Zimmer tiptop sauber, jedoch Armaturen im Bad etwas in die Jahre gekommen. Traumhafter Privat-Strand mit Stein- und Sandbereich wohl einmalig. Ausreichendes Frühstücksbuffet, mit Halbpension ein hervorragend zubereitetes, serviertes 4-Gang Menü mit leckerer Auswahl. Baja Sardinia grenzt direkt an die Costa Smeralda und lockt auch Mitte September noch mit glasklarem, warmen Wasser zum Baden und Planschen. Dank Anreise mit eigenem Auto waren wir mobil und konnten auch einige Sehenswürdigkeiten und Orte besuchen. Ein Mietauto für gewisse Ausflüge wäre ansonsten zu empfehlen. Wir werden definitiv wiederkehren, nach Sardinien und in dieses Hotel. Die Covid-Massnahmen wurden diskret umgesetzt, Personal immer mit Maske, Green Card im Hotel nicht nötig, jedoch bei Besuchen von gewissen Sehenswürdigkeiten ausserhalb. Maskenpflicht in Läden und Innenräumen.

2 star. Pro - beautiful private beach. This was the only good aspect of our stay. Cons - terrible service, the staff is incredibly rude and unhelpful. Staff also had no concern for covid safety precautions. Horribly outdated rooms especially for the cost. Non functioning AC. No warm or hot water in the shower. Ancient bed possibly made of rocks. In a word - ripoff. You can find far better in the area, especially somewhere they actually care about their customers and have price appropriate amenities.

Hotel spettacolare, da quando si arriva fino a che si va via super coccolati da tutto lo staff. Ottima la pulizia delle stanze e della struttura in generale. Posizione molto vicina alle spiagge e a pochi minuti da porto cervo. Peccato che siamo rimasti solo per una notte, torneremo sicuramente.

Non lo faccio di consuetudine ma ci tengo a spendere qualche parola per questo hotel. Ho prenotato come la maggior parte valutando il costo qualita’/prezzo e leggendo le recensioni una ad una. Il contesto della struttura rispecchia vivamente i colori e la vegetazione della costa smeraldo, scorci di mare cristallino e una caletta di proprietà dell’albergo unica. Ho l’abitudine di ispezionare le camere e il bagno prima di soggiornarci e devo dire che la pulizia è’ eccellente oltre che al personale gentilissimo. L’ arredo tipico gallurese, forse i bagni non modernissimo ma funzionali. Un’ hotellerie degno di nota, da sottolineare la ristorazione impeccabile e sempre variegata, come l’accoglienza e la professionalità dei maître ( noi siamo stati accolti da Giuliano ) e camerieri che tengo a precisare capiscono le esigenze del cliente ancor prima che si faccia domanda. La cosa mi ha stupito parecchio. Se venite a Baja sardina vi consiglio vivamente di soggiornare qui.

Paid additional fee to get a beach-front room -- which was well worth it. Lovely beach, and some of the best snorkeling I did during 3 weeks on the island! Lots of fish. - I agree with other reviewer comments that the hotel feels dated. Stains on the carpets, bit of a stale smell. The sitting areas around the lobby were not comfortable or inviting - with the exception of the bar /patio area. No nightlife or evening activities (which was ok for me). The on-site restaurant feels like a bad cruise ship - bad bright lighting, everyone eating at the same time, and felt rushed, not elegant or comfortable. Food was also not fresh local - though most people seemed to like it. I did like the breakfast buffet that was included in the room -- fantastic selection, including a whole table of gluten-free options. - Staff were wonderful and helpful.

We stayed here 5 years ago for our 25th and returned to celebrate our 30th. Hotel is so relaxing, well appointed with stunning views. The local area is also so clean and has some quality restaurants if you choose not eat in the hotel. Totally relaxed
