Nestled at the foot of Taos Mountain off the Valdez Rim Road, Stella Luna, our 1500 square foot, two bedroom, two bath home sits on a quiet lane. It's just 15 mins from the slopes of Taos Ski Valley, 15 mins from the Town of Taos & Taos Plaza, and 5 mins from the charming village of Arroyo Seco. Extraordinary views in all directions, high ceilings throughout, large windows, and a floor plan that offers both open space and privacy come together to create a home that graciously welcomes you back after a day of skiing, sightseeing, or shopping. In fact, if you're like us, you might never want to leave Stella Luna at all! Our lovely home offers a spacious, master suite with a King bed, attached office/nursery, TV/DVD, a Jacuzzi bath, and walk-in closet & dressing area. The second bedroom, conveniently separated from the master by the common living space, comes with a queen bed & double futon, TV/DVD, and an amazing view of Taos Mtn. While the house can comfortably sleep four adults, it can easily accommodate two more on the sleeper sofa in the living room. A cozy fire in the kiva fireplace will warm your bones while you dine or relax in the comfortable living area. Being travelers, cooks, and foodies ourselves, Stella Luna provides you with a well-equipped kitchen and a home tastefully decorated with furnishings, art and objects from near and far. A selection of movies, books, and games will help you unwind from your life in the real world. To soothe those aching limbs and enjoy our spectacular New Mexico skies, there's a hot tub on the back deck; from the SW facing portal you get views of the Truchas, El Pedernal (a leitmotif of Georgia O'Keeffe), sunsets, and the neighbor’s grazing cows. I felt held the entire time I was there. From wonderful warm, lighting to all of the types of furniture you could need including sofa, kitchen table, dining room table, and everything I think you could need in the kitchen. To having such comfortable and soft bedding in the master bedroom. A wonderful soaking tub, a hot tub, covered patio out back, including a full length lawn chair to lay out and look at the stars at night and a fire pit with chairs out front. Beautiful 360 views for sunsets and mountains. It’s just absolutely stunning. And when I arrived in the evening, I was met by two large mule deer. What a wonderful greeting. The drive is maybe 10 minutes from town. So secluded and quiet and serene and I would absolutely rent again. The house was very accommodating and I really enjoyed my stay. I strongly recommend The Stella Luna. Great location between the town of Taos and the ski valley. It's so amazing how quiet and still the setting is. Fresh fruit and bread in the kitchen on our arrival; the heated tile floor, breakfast at the kitchen table by the front window. Thanks for allowing us to enjoy the home! ##### Craig D. I was there for the month of February and could not have been happier or more pleased with the property. The casita is beautifully decorated and has everything one could need, including a kitchen with every think one can imagine. It is well designed for two couples or two friends as the layout separates the bedroom spaces from the central living area. Sanjay is very responsive if there are questions or issues. Lovely and peaceful with amazing views of the surrounding mountains. Close enough to town to explore all the wonderful shops, galleries and dining (if you don't feel like cooking), but remote enough for a restful retreat. I enjoyed being able to explore the surrounding areas and have a 'base camp' to return to for a nice hot tub under the stars. Super friendly and responsive host. I highly recommend. ##### Martha C. Stella Luna is a beautiful, well appointed home in a peaceful and serene location. We had everything we needed to enjoy our stay and the lovely flowers, swarms of hummingbirds, star filled skies and frogs croaking us to sleep were the cherry on top. Check in and check out we’re fast and easy. Appreciated the fresh fruit, and delicious blue corn tortilla chips and salsa to snack on. We not only felt like guest, but like we were wanted there. I would love to stay at Stella Luna again the next time we are in the Taos area. Thanks for a fabulous long weekend. ##### Edward S. When my husband called to ask for the shade sails to be adjusted so that the anchor points wouldn't bang against the house, they had it fixed in 24 hours. It's a very peaceful, quiet setting. The views from the hot tub at night are just fantastic. The house is well stocked.
