The hotel is only a 10min walk from the town’s central square. Service was very good and friendly. The only point for improvement is the earliest time for breakfast, which was 08:30\. However, I wanted to visit the Cocora Valley early, so had to take breakfast in town and would have preferred an earliest breakfast at the hotel at 07:00\. Hard to move luggage to room steep gravel driveway. Wrong toliet seat on toliet. If someone is looking for a basic hotel, good wifi, hot water, nice views at a cheap price outside the town this is your place. I do feel i was mislead by reviews but should of realized price i paid. One of 4 units, well appointed, in quiet location with views over Salento and mountains beyond. Only a short walk into town with its many shops and eateries. Only problem with the accommodation is a potentially dangerous shower where there is no temperature control so scalding is a real possibility. There's no proper mixer tap or thermostat. The plumbing arrangement is such that adding cold water to the hot actually causes back pressure on the hot supply which stops its flow and switches off the boiler. The result is you either have full (very) hot or full cold. The owner should employ a qualified plumber to reconfigure the system. Quiet area. All of Solento is very safe. Rooms were clean with comfy beds and nice shower. Only gripe is that they don’t provide you with clean towels or clean your room up if you are there for multiple days. Staff was friendly which is the norm in Colombia. Also, our room had a deck with a nice view of the mountains.
