Quiet, Quaint, Wonderful Breakfast

We arrived here late (after 9PM)...the innkeeper left our key taped to the front of the office door so we could enter our room, which was nice. Once we got into the room, I saw that the innkeeper had also emailed me to let me know that he would be closing the office at 9PM and would leave the key on the front door. The room was spacious, but the bathroom was small. The shower had a low ceiling on it, making it difficult to move around. Breakfast was AMAZING!!! The innkeeper provided fresh fruit, orange juice, coffee, and hot tea. He said he had eggs and could make us a ham and cheese omelet, which was delicious. I had also left my jacket in the closet, and the innkeeper was able to ship it to my house in CA, which was so nice.

Not to my taste

This hotel needs a facelift badly, and the service was unpleasant. The room smelled damp and felt damp. We did not stay for breakfast.

We had a lovely stay at this hotel. The location is excellent for making a centre to the local sights. The owner is very welcoming and serves a very good breakfast.

Convenient position for Manchester

The lodge is well positioned and comfortable, but could do with an improvement of the general services such as swimming pool and outside deck etc.

B&B lodge near mt equinox.

It was a nice place to stay near Mt Equinox. The place is near Manchester shopping center. The room was moldy smelling. The owner needed to know that we will bring our pet before check in.

Our stay

Spent two nights there and got friendly with Burt, the owner. He was a cook in a previous life and made wonderful breakfasts to order. Very interesting person to speak to and we spent a lot of time conversing with him. Our room was very nice. Private bath and a/c worked well. Good location.

Weekend getaway

Nice small get away lodge. Owner had leased the property to another party. That party did not maintain the premise well. The owner was in the process of cleaning it up and getting it back in shape. Owner was friendly and a good host. Breakfast was good and the rooms were clean

For my purpose, it was perfect!

I was staying for the VSCCA Mt. equinox Hillclimb, just minutes up the road.

Great Overnight Hotel near Stratton Ski Resort

We arrived there at very late night and the host left room key with envelope outside. Good Breakfast! We stayed there for a night then headed to Stratton Ski Resort.

Perfect!

It was FANTASTIC. We got stuck in the snowstorm and barely made it to the location, and the people there were very quick to help me get my car into the lot. We couldn't go out to eat, so the innkeeper offered to make us a homemade pizza! Room was very clean, looked and smelled wonderful! Location is beautiful, but be warned do not go there in the winter without snow tires or AWD because every highway and road surrounding it has hills and steep roads that you will wipe out on. This is in the middle of VT people, be sensible.

The owners were wonderful in coordinating the key pick up as we were arriving very late from NYC. The blueberry muffins for breakfast were absolutely delightful. 20 minutes from Stratton.

Deceiving on website

Not what we expected. It felt like a throw back to the early 70's!

Into the woods

It was delightful, the rooms are beautifully appointed. The area is lovely (even in the rain). We look forward to returning in warmer weather so we can enjoy the pool and hot tub. The host was most congenial and provided us with a wonderful breakfast of veggie omelet the he prepared.
