It is a pleasant walk to downtown, where you can enjoy the numerous restaurants, farmers market and festivals on the Plaza. You can spend the day exploring, perusing the shelves of books at the Tin Can Mailman, checking out Sci-Fi night at the Arcata Theater Lounge or going to explore the majestic redwoods and wild coastline. It is just a short 2 block walk to Humboldt State University, where you can watch great shows at the Van Duzer Theater. The Arcata Community forest is only 3 blocks away with miles of hiking trails through the redwoods. Our home has a spacious rolling lawn for bocce ball, or relaxing outside with a cold drink under the tree in the back yard. There is a large, fully equipped kitchen for cooking delicious meals for two, or the whole family. You will find fun dishes for all occasions in addition to a rice cooker, crock pot, blender and so much more! There is a luxurious king size bed in one bedroom. The second bedroom has two extra long twin beds for separate sleeping, or if you would prefer to have them together, they make a second king bed. Easy entry for loading from the parking at the curb. No steps in front are great for our older mom. (She couldn't get into the shower due to high sides/slip hazard but still loved the house). Super dog friendly with lovely secure fenced large yard and dog sheets for furniture. I always bring my own and this added touch made it even better. Fantasic well-provided kitchen with large table. Only thing I would advise is that if your taking you dogs, the transients that walk by the house attempt to mess with your dogs. Other than that no complaints. The house was great inside and out. The house was perfect, well furnished with comfortable beds. Only three blocks from campus and a short walk to forest with many trails to hike. Every appliance you might need was available in kitchen. There were even toys and treats for our dog. Big back yard with pergola and bbq (completely fenced).
