Rock or swing on the wrap-around porch. Take a dip in the pool (generally between Memorial Day and Labor Day) or relax on the riverfront as you watch the boats. The private community beach is a perfect place to swim, sunbathe, kayak, or just relax. Whatever you choose, you're sure to enjoy the slow pace and peaceful atmosphere at the Cala Lily in China Grove. For variety, bike or jog to Oriental, the "Sailing Capital of North Carolina." The pier is fabulous! Cala Lily Cottage sleeps 4, and a single step up offers easy access. The guest bunk house is perfect for a staycation office space--please inquire if interested in adding this adorable and useful space for an additional $50/day. Please Note:There is a Ring camera at the main entrance (the door you enter just in front of where you park). It is set to video only. There was easy access to Oriental and we did some birding in the nearby nature preserve. An hour away were Atlantic Beach and Emerald Isle. Séjour de 4 nuits en juillet 2020 ### 8/10 – Bien #### Tammy L. 15 août 2020 Points forts : Propreté #### Great location, perfect beach I really loved the house and the proximity to a beautiful, clean beach front. It was really the best beachfront on a river that I’ve seen. Very clean sand and water, private access, and the new looking pier. The house itself was very clean and comfortable. I loved the layout and the view from upstairs. We were a little confused because you can only sleep 4 people inside as there are only 2 bedrooms. The other “bed” is a pull out sofa in a completely separate, sparsely furnished building, pretty much just the sofa and a mini fridge. The listing advertised a DVD player, but it was only an old box TV with a built in DVD player and VHS player, upstairs in a cabinet in the main bedroom, not in the living room. But they did have cable and HBO channels available. There was an outdoor shower which comes in handy to get sand off, but it was really stained and the shower head was broken. The indoor shower heads were old and covered in limescale, but they worked and the water pressure and temperature was great. The community pool is fenced in next to the largest house in the community and I guess the renters there assumed it was theirs alone, because we kept hearing pointed comments about “their pool” and “their house”. These were very minor issues in the long run, and we had a really great time and would definitely go back! ##### Tammy L. The cottage was so inviting and comfortable! We loved the beach area and pool! Homeowners nearby were very friendly! It was like our own private beach which was especially nice during COVID! The property managers were quick to answer any and all questions we had prior to arrival. Wonderful, enjoyable experience! ##### Betty W. We really enjoyed our stay at the Cala Lilly. The Grounds are beautiful and neighborhood is very quiet. We hung out on the beach, swam in the pool, fished off the pier and gazed at all the stars in the evening. The weather was perfect and enjoyed our evenings on the large porch.
