« I wish I could give this stay more than five stars! The owner and his wife went out of their way to make sure my every need was taken care of. Be aware there are two ferries from Ishigaki, and only one has a shuttle to the hotel. If you’re going to rent a car book it early, but the island is very doable without a car as long as you go with the flow. The hotel is close to the river ferry which takes you to waterfall hike. And there are many local tours for paddle boarding, canoeing into the...

« We loved our time at Cago Guest House. My husband and I stayed for two nights and wish we stayed longer. Taketomi is a beautiful, quiet island and Cago is the perfect place to stay and enjoy it. « A really lovely homestay, significantly different to how we normally travel, but a real pleasure. I normally don’t eat breakfast but made sure I enjoyed the Okinawan breakfast in the garden every day between 8-9am. Not to everyone’s taste, but delicious to me. It’s close to a bus route that goes into Ishigaki town and north to Kabira Bay. Buses aren’t frequent but are on time and taxis are available too. »

« Très bel hôtel neuf. Les appartements sont grands et très bien équipés. Difficultés à communiquer en anglais avec le staff. Pas très flexible sur un late check out alors que l’hôtel etait loin d’être plein et que notre avion n’était que le soir. Ils auraient pu nous laisser la chambre jusqu’au moins fin d’après midi car il pleuvait des cordes dehors…. La piscine est un peu petite si l’hotel est plein je pense. Par contre peut louer des vélos 2h gratuitement et c’est très pratique. »
