It is very easy to navigate around the Apollo Bay region by car and plentiful parking in town. The Apollo Bay to Colac bus departs every Wednesday and a daily return service from Apollo Bay to Melbourne via Geelong (bus to Geelong followed by Vline train to Southern Cross Station in Melbourne). The Vline bus from Geelong to Apollo Bay includes a stop at Skenes Creek. Marengo is about a 25 minute walk or short taxi ride from the centre of town. Hordern Vale is a bit further along the Great Ocean Road and easier to access by car. It is possible to get there via tax also. The Apollo Bay Taxi is also available on 0400 229 222 Apollo Bay provides all of the services and amenities of any main town, including hospital, vet, police and fire brigade. Groceries can be found right next to the property that has convenient onsite parking. There are two other huts annexed to this one. Athough we had the middle hut, we were not disturbed by the others.
