We attended the rehearsal dinner at The Severn Inn on Friday and the wedding on Saturday at the Naval Academy Chapel with reception at The Naval Academy club. A great time was had by all. The location of the home we stayed in was two blocks from gate 1 making it so convenient to get to the places we needed to go. Had coffee and bagels at Bitty and Beau’s coffee shop near the city dock that is walking distance from where we stayed. Our three story row home was perfect in every way! The home is in a great location to walk to City Dock and get around. Inside it is exactly as described in terms of furniture and layout. It was perfect in that way. But, when we arrived at the door we could smell something and when we walked in we could still smell it. We think it was old cigarette smoke that's in the walls since it's listed as a smoke free property. Unfortunately we are having to wash all our clothes and things we brought since they absorbed the odors and don't smell good now. We also never got any check in information from the host and had to call VRBO the day before check in. They were able to reach him and he called us with a check in code for the door. We never got any additional check in or check out instructions. He said he doesn't give check in codes until the people renting the house have left. We rent a lot of homes and have always received the code days in advance along with check in and check out info. We did have a small issue with the batteries being dead in the thermostat so we couldn't get heat. We called in the morning and it was fixed that day which was very nice. Overall we loved the home except for the smell which will keep us from coming back next year. ##### jean f.
