Non fumeurs - Attention !
Cet hôtel était très bien, nous y avons séjourné pour nous rendre au boat-show de Annapolis. Le seul reproche que je peux faire a cet hôtel est de nous avoir attribué une chambre qui devait être fumeur et dans laquelle une très forte odeur de tabac mélangée aux parfums destinés a couvrir cette odeur rendait l'environnement olfactif très désagréable. Tous le staff de l hôtel était très prévenant ce qui aidait a compenser pour cet inconvénient.

Hotel was very dated. Old worn carpets in room and hallways. Ramp on first floor looked to be safety hazard. Bathroom was very cramped..shower was a nice size but sink was super small and right next to toilet…minimal counter space. Bed was comfortable. Although the area in which you were able to sit down to eat breakfast was very small, with tables almost touching each other, the coffee and food options were very good, and the female attendant insuring all the items were full was wonderful. Have stayed at many Holiday Inn Expresses in the past, and this one was the smallest and most dated.

Parking was horrible, multiple shipping containers taking up spots, the hallways were smelling of weed all day long, the breakfast was disappointing with gravy being put out frozen still, the cinnamon rolls and bagels were stale as cardboard. But the biscuits were nice and fresh and sausage links were great. The bed was comfortable and clean but the bathroom needs a serious deep scrub because idk what was on the walls around the walls or why when floor got wet the mat turned black. The workers I interacted with can't speak for all just seemed not to interested in being there or over dealing with clients.

Typically with a Holiday Inn Express I know to not expect anything crazy but this stay was really unexpectedly poor. There was no hot water due to an issue with the hot water heater, the AC didn’t work and would sound like it was running but no air was coming out, the shower had mold around it and the room wasn’t ready for over an hour after we were told it would be ready.

Plenty of food stores (Whole Foods & Stop & Shop) and dining (Cava, Mission BBQ to just name a few) options surround the property. Parking was also convenient. The breakfast was so-so. We stayed 2 nights and had morning meal twice. First morning, the eggs, sausage and turkey bacon were all undercooked. Next day, it was much better so someone probably spoke up. The pancake maker made undercooked pancakes also. But, they had fruit, several oatmeal flavors, cereals, juices, milk, decent coffee and tea options. The gym is VERY small and in a bad location. You walk right up to it in the lobby as you head to any room so you would feel like an exhibit since the front is all glass. Staff was fine. The decor of the rooms is very dated. The bathrooms look like they were last updated maybe in the 1990's at the earliest, but everything worked ok. The safe in the room also did not work. My biggest complaint is that there is virtually ZERO noise insulation between rooms. I heard two ladies' conversation next door like they were sitting right in front of me. When they used the hair dryer, you would have sworn it was coming from your own bathroom. Thank God they weren't late night TV watchers, because we wouldn't have slept otherwise. If they fixed that, my overall rating would be higher. But overall, the convenience of all the stores/restaurants listed previously made it a pretty good value. We were on a visit to the USNA and it was about 3 miles (8-10 min) away by car.

Old but many positive qualities
Wonderful staff. Nice bkfst. Sheets and bathroom clean. But all really old- this may be the first HI Express ever built. Furniture carpet fixtures beat and old. Shampoo the carpet would help to start. Great shopping and food walking distance- loved it.

Booked two rooms- they have no adjoining available. Originally was not even going to be on same floor. Front desk employee acted like she did me a huge favor to put them together. The room was small and smelled like smoke. Extremely loud neighbors- meant no rest. Won’t stay here again.
