The serene location of this property is just amazing. Located steps, less than 50 ft, to white powder sand beaches of the Gulf of Mexico and less than a few flip flop steps to the restaurants and shops on Pine Ave and the free island trolley service. "Barefoot Mermaid 2" is the Northwest unit of 4 units located within The Gulf Queen Apartments. "Barefoot Mermaid 2" has been decorated to maximize tropical comfort. As you enter you are greeted by an open plan living room and kitchen with gorgeous, polished terrazzo floors. Sit back, relax, and turn on your flat screen tv and catch the must-see sports game or your favorite movie. We make sure you have the ability to stay connected with our free high-speed internet. This 2-bedroom 1 bath accommodates 4 people comfortably. The first bedroom features a queen bed. The second bedroom features a pair of twin beds. Please note these beds can be converted to a king bed by guest request. The bathroom is located off the bedrooms and offers a tub shower combo and single sink. All 4 units can be rented at the same time to accommodate a large family, reunion, or wedding parties with enough advanced notice. Catch some yoga on the beach starting at 8:30 a. m. on Saturdays at the Pine Ave beach access. The Gulf Queen Apartments offers a common laundry area and a golf cart charging station. Your cleaning crew needs to be fired. When I say dirty, I mean EVERY single plate, glass, cooking pot AND EVERY fork and spoon had dried food, lip marks or smears on them. The hot water kettle was rusted inside. There is no dishwasher. It was like these things were just ran under the tap and put away….not scrubbed with hot soapy water and not cleaned thoroughly. Each time we reached for something from the cabinets or drawers we had to hand wash it before use. It was disgusting and very unsafe. Do you want to put a fork in your mouth that someone used without being washed? There are only toxic Teflon pots/pans. All were flaking or scratched. This was all unacceptable and should be thrown out and replaced with non-toxic cookware immediately. Because of these things we would never recommend this property. It would be sacrificing health and wellness. The door handle to the front door became jammed during our stay. Property management was professional, responded quickly and maintenance replaced the doorknob. The issues with this property are related to the cleaning crew. Do better inspections. Look in the kitchen cabinets and drawers and see for yourselves!! ##### Stefanie C.
