The house is nestled in a lovely spot and the deck is surrounded by beautiful trees and wildlife. There were, however a number of practicalities that let the experience down. There were no fans in the upstairs bedrooms, making for a stuffy night’s sleep. The roller blind was broken in the smaller upstairs bedroom, making it impossible to get any airflow through the window. There were no hooks in any of the bedrooms for hanging towels. The property is beautiful, with a great deck - which would have been used more if the weather was nice. The separate access for upstairs and downstairs was ok for our kids, but not great if you had younger children (<5). However it was great to have separate living areas when the kids were noisy and we wanted some space!! Beds were comfortable and warm, and kitchen was well appointed. The only issue is that the sofa bed seems to be broken and saggy (which wasn’t a problem for the 6 year old, but might have been an issue if someone older was using it). The property is dog friendly and ours enjoyed his stay. There are no fences on one side of the property so you need to watch out if your dog is a wanderer!! The neighbours were very kind and tolerant of a stray friendly dog wandering into their yards! Very responsive communication for the very minor questions we had during our stay. The parrots arriving each morning and. feeding from your hand was a highlight for us all and in particular our youngest. The kangaroos greeting us on the front lawn each evening was special and the cockatoo settling on the balcony rail was a delight. Our dog Miley ❤️d the cosy bed you had provided for her and the teenagers enjoyed the privacy of their own quarters downstairs. Thankyou. We all appreciated you allowing us to use provisions in the pantry which was handy for our BBQ and also the candles used for our daughter's birthday!
